Personal History of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Protocol Id 140501 Version # 1 Description of Protocol These interviewer-administered questions from the Multi-Ethnic Study of Arthrosclerosis (MESA) ascertain whether an individual has ever been told by a doctor or health care professional that they have diabetes. Specific Instructions The following was taken from a stem question that captures more than just personal history of diabetes. The Diabetes Working group recommends removing "one of the following" from the initial question so that the question is " Has your doctor or health care professional told you that you had:" The Diabetes Working Group refers users to the Female Protocol of the Reproductive History measure for more questions on pregnancy history related to gestational diabetes. Protocol Text Has your doctor or health care professional told you that you had one of the following: 1.
