natural

skills and strengths
• Jacob is a picture of the difference between
operating from the natural and operating in
reliance on the Lord (Genesis 27-33)
• We see another example from Paul in Galatians
3:3 “Having begun in the Spirit, are you now
being made perfect in the flesh?”

• Serving God requires we cry out to God as
Moses did so long ago – “If your presence does
not go up with us, do not bring us up from here!”
(Exodus 33:15)
