What is it?



A proven program that has been used in
the global Coca-Cola system for almost 20
years.
It incorporates simple, but effective prework warm-up exercises as well as
employee awareness, education, and
ergonomic risk factor identification and
improvements by management and
employees.
As part of an integrated approach to
employee productivity and absence
management.
Back Facts



80 percent of the working population will
experience low back pain during their
career.
Back related work-place absences are
second only to the common cold as a
cause of missed work.
Estimates of annual cost to employers is
estimated at over $30 billion, including
worker’s comp, lost time, and medical
expenses.
Return on Investment




During the one year pilot program,
32% reduction in accident rate and
78% decrease in lost work days
was observed.
What are your current rates?
What cost savings would you
realize at your facility?
Employees’ perception:
“The Company cares about me.”
Program logistics



Uses a “train the trainers” format.
Training takes approximately 1/2
day for trainers, and 90 minutes for
employees.
Program includes a complete
“coaches” manual, employee
brochure, and customized
Coca-Cola DVD.
Requires less than five minutes per
day by each employee.
“Industrial Athletes”



Just like the pros, employees must
condition their bodies for their
specific job.
They must warm up the body
before work each day.
They must practice safe
techniques during lifting and
materials handling.
