Performance Objectives (Targets/Criteria) for Direct Measures:
At least 80% of all MBA majors will score in the 50th percentile or higher
in comparison to other peer institutions on the examination questions
related to this ISLO
On the CAPSIM simulation project rubric, at least 80% of the students in
each concentration will demonstrate acceptable (2) or exemplary (3)
levels as measured by categories related to the ISLOs

Performance Objectives (Targets/Criteria) for Indirect Measures:
The Peregrine Exit Survey utilizes a scale ranging from 1 (strongly
disagree) to 5 (strongly agree) on all questions. Each individual learning
outcome represents a distinct question on the exit survey. The mean
score for all graduating students for each specific question will be 4.0,
meaning the students agree to meeting each individual learning
outcome.
The Business Focus Group Instrument utilizes a scale ranging from 1
(strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree) on all questions. Each individual
learning outcome represents a distinct question on the instrument. The
mean score for each specific question will be 4.0, meaning the group
members agree the students are meeting each individual learning
outcome.

Summary of Results from Implementing Direct Measures of Student Learning:
1. Peregrine Exam (n=63)
Less than 80% of MBA majors scored in the 50th percentile or higher on exam questions

ISLO 1 – 44% of students were above the 50th percentile; Mean percentile rank is 50.8
2. Capsim simulation project rubric (n=66)
More than 80% of students met the acceptable or exemplary standard in the requirements in all categories for ISLOs 1-6

ISLOs 1-6 summary = 24% achieved the acceptable standard; 72% achieved the exemplary standard

Proposed Courses of Action for Improvement in Learning Outcomes for which Performance Targets Were Not Met:
1.
Although the threshold of 80% of students was not met for ISLO 1 through the direct assessment of the Peregrine Exam, the mean performance
scores for the MBA participants cumulatively demonstrate proficiency per Peregrine’s relative interpretation of student competency. The Faculty
in the College of Business will be monitoring the exam results and individual curriculum to find ways to reinforce concepts related to ISLO 1.
