COUGAR NEWS TODAY – August 14, 2014 ENTHUSIASM CHARACTER QUALITY FO THE MONTH OF AUGUST – The most attractive thing you can wear is a smile. Let’s start this new year out with enthusiasm and show off our smile. GC FFA Membership Callout meeting is scheduled in the south end of the cafeteria on This Thursday at 7 pm. WE are looking for potential FFA members. You should be taking an Agriculture class to be in FFA but we can make exceptions. We need smart members who want to participate in Leadership Contests and Skill Contests during the school year. WE are planning on our trip to national Convention in October and the State level Animal Science Skill A thon Contest on Sept 20 at Purdue. Practices start next week. 2014 Yearbooks are in! We are distributing them, Monday, Aug. 18 at lunch, or you can see Mrs. Bernard in Room D103. If you didn’t purchase one, they are first come, first served. $60. Attention Key Club members and anyone interested in joining this service organization! We will have our first meeting/call-out on August 22nd at 8 am in the CMR. We’d love to see you there! The Art club will have its first meeting of the year after school on Thursday, August 14 th at 3:30 in room E131 which is the 3-D art room. There are no academic or attendance requirements. Just the school $10.00 activity fee. Each meeting will include creating an art project of some sort. In addition, trips are planned to both Indianapolis and Chicago art museums and galleries. See Mr. Weiland for if you have any questions. All GC students enrolled in Spanish are invited to join Spanish Club. Dues are $14.00. You may pay your Spanish teacher or come to Rm. D 106. If you want to run for a Spanish Club Office, sign up in Rm. D106 by August 22. Our first meeting is in Rm. D106 on August 29 at 8:00 a.m. Pay your dues by then and vote for your favorite candidates during your Spanish class on August 29 or September 2nd. Gracias.
