CHARACTER QUALITY FO THE MONTH OF AUGUST –

ENTHUSIASM

People with enthusiasm encourage others and show a genuine interest in the people around them. If you have attended or watched a sporting event, you may have seen players give each other “high fives” or you may have notice people in the stands smiling, cheering and clapping.

The players and fans were all enthusiastically supporting their team with their voice and their actions.

Attention Key Club members and anyone interested in joining this service organization! We will have our first meeting/call-out on August 22 nd at 8 am in the CMR. We’d love to see you there! If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Marler or Mrs. Vaughan.

The Art club will have its first meeting of the year after school on Thursday, August 14 th at

3:30 in room E131 which is the 3-D art room. There are no academic or attendance requirements. Just the school $10.00 activity fee. Each meeting will include creating an art project of some sort. In addition, trips are planned to both Indianapolis and Chicago art museums and galleries. See Mr. Weiland for if you have any questions.

French Club callout meeting will be held Wednesday morning in room D104 at 7:45. If you are enrolled in a French class and are interested, please come out and learn about what we have planned for the upcoming year!

All GC students enrolled in Spanish are invited to join Spanish Club. Dues are $14.00. You may pay your

Spanish teacher or come to Rm. D 106. If you want to run for a Spanish Club Office, sign up in Rm. D106 by August 22. Our first meeting is in Rm. D106 on August 29 at 8:00 a.m. Pay your dues by then and vote for your favorite candidates during your Spanish class on August 29 or September 2 nd . Gracias.

All SHS members will meet on August 22 in Rm. D106 at 8:00 a.m. to vote for this year’s SHS

Officers. Any senior SHS member who wants to run for an office, needs to sign up in Rm. D106 by

August 15 th . SHS Officer candidates will introduce themselves at 8:00 a.m. Por favor, be on time. Gracias.

Baseball Open Field will begin Tuesday, August 12 th , 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. at Molinder

Field. You must have the completed physical packet on file in the Athletic Office to participate in Baseball conditioning. Download your packet off the Athletic

Website or pick one up at the Athletic Office.
