General Ledger Client Write-Up
Our General Ledger Write-Up system is a sophisticated program,
designed specifically for accounting ad bookkeeping professionals.
The system is designed to achieve optimum efficiency ad productivity
for you and your staff. Simplicity of operation makes the program
easy to learn, easy to use and very fast.
After the easy to use installation menu you will see the General Ledger
Client Write-Up main menu.
When you are starting a new client the General
Ledger system will detect this and bring you to create
the Client Set-Up (Parameter) file as the first step.
You control all descriptions on financial statements such as: Titles,
Account descriptions and text at page bottom.

The data is stored on the drive of your choice, so you can keep the data
on a local or network drive or on removable media like a floppy or
memory card. But the information is always under your control, it never
has to leave your office computers.
On this screen you enter the location of the data files for the np Systems
Payroll and SalesTax Programs; along with the name you use for these
programs. These names can be the same as the Write-Up name.
You can use our master or start your own.
Flexible Chart of Accounts which can be easily set-up to meet the
needs of your clients.
Once you have chosen a Journal files the Journal Entry
screen will appear. Each of the journals has a build in
default transaction type (credit or debit).
Input methods designed to facilitate the easy collection of
information from fast input of client data. Entry screen lets you
see the last four transactions, keep a running balance of the
entered transactions and lets you view/modify any transaction in
the entered batch.
Complete audit trail from source journal automatically produced.
Once you have posted the transactions to the journal you
can print the entries from the Main Menu.
This is where you enter recurring entries.
Once you have set up the required entries you post them to
the journal.
The print journal section of the program will print the
transactions contained in the journals.
You can view General Ledger details for a period or cumulative
transaction register for the year on the screen or printer.
The Trial Balance prints the report that summarizes the activity
for the current period.
The report date entered is only used to print a date on the report
for your information.
Account analysis can be compiled for any date or account range.
Great flexibility in preparation of client financial statements with
unlimited number of period closings. You can also unpost and unclose
your last set of transactions.
f you wish to use the Parameter File and Chart of Accounts
that you set for the client in our MS-DOS version of the
program the Utility section of the program can do this for
you.
Individual journals built into the systems: Cash receipts, Cash
Disbursements, Sales, Petty Cash, Purchase, Payroll, General,
Reversing ad Recurring.
Transaction Entry Screen
Financial transactions are entered from data on check-stubs,
summary spread sheets, invoices, deposit slips, or they can be
non-cash entries such as depreciation or other adjusting entries.

Enter month and year.
If after you have closed the period you find that an error has
been made you can run the unclose program which will bring
the books back to the amounts before the close was run.
