1 Eagle Ridge Institute Family Treatment Center Director Job Description JOB TITLE: Director of Residential Programming DEPARTMENT: Family Treatment Center SUMMARY: Under supervisory guidance of the Clinical Director of Therapeutic Programming and in accordance with program policies and procedures, provides direct management of the Family Treatment Center and functions as a member of the Leadership Team. Responsible for providing individual and group counseling sessions for a caseload of approximately eight to twelve chemically dependent women with possible co-occurring disorders. Participate in daily treatment meetings and advocates for chemically addicted women and their children. Responsible for assuring program compliance with all contracts, certification and accreditation requirements; develops and/or monitors budget; supervises Personnel, Volunteer, and Interns for the Family Treatment Center. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Assures program compliance of ERFTC’s Policies and Procedures 2. Review and/or revise and present ERFTC’s Policies and Procedures (based on ODMHSAS and CARF standards, criteria, and guidelines) for approval by the Board of Directors each year 3. Assures quarterly assessments of critical incident reports are completed and any results addressed as needed 4. Assist Clinical Team in development of therapeutic activities schedule 5. Schedule and plan at least monthly all staff meetings, and participant clinical staffings 6. Ensure the scheduling of or providing in-house trainings as needed 7. Directs or coordinates fund raising, public relations, and fact-finding research activities 8. Maintains liaison with referral sources, makes referrals to other agencies, and takes referrals to this agency when necessary 9. Ensures that Initial and Extension Treatment Plans are uploaded and completed correctly in Milan 10. Reviews and approves treatment plans and progress notes in Milan on a weekly basis 11. Monitors treatment services provided including chart/documentation review and quarterly peer reviews. In addition services will be assessed regarding client needs, frequency, and quality of treatment services. 12. Ensures billing is accurate and ODHSAS contract funds are being 100% utilized 13. Approve all programmatic expenditures, monitor revenue goals as well as provide yearly budget and ongoing budget review 14. Sets yearly program goals and keeps track of progression of these goals 2 15. Provides reports as requested for the board of Directors, Executive Director and Director of Treatment Programs. 16. Planning, developing, implementing and evaluating program goals and objectives. Responsible for hiring, supervising, monitoring, scheduling and evaluating staff. Assists in the hiring, supervising, monitoring, scheduling and evaluating of staff. Provide leadership training and consultation on substance abuse issues, and prevention strategies. Responsible for networking with community/regional agencies and organizations. Provide technical assistance and resources to support program initiatives and community partnerships. Insure ongoing compliance with ODMHSAS, CARF, and OHD standards. Carry an average caseload of approximately 8 to 12 adult women. Prepare and monitor treatment plans with clients. Provide individual counseling for adult clients. Document provision of services and clients’ progress, problems, needs. Assist with assessments of clients. Attend and facilitate daily Treatment Team meetings. Assist in securing appropriate services for clients through networking. Assure proper discharge procedures are followed for clients and their children. Attend monthly staff meetings. Attend appropriate training sessions both in-house and outside of facility. Advocate for chemically dependent women and their children. Assist all staff members in meeting the needs of clients and their children. Provide follow-up on clients once they have left the center. Assists in developing outcome measurements and provide an annual outcome’s report for clients served. Provide court and/or DOC with month progress reports as required. Complete discharge summary when women are discharged from program. Other job takes as assigned by supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises clinical employees, chemical dependency technicians, day care employees and others as assigned at the Family Treatment Center. Director is responsible for supervision in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ability to network, work with volunteers and conduct training. Proven ability to utilize the team concept of management and an ability to motivate others in the realization of professional potential. Knowledge of the chemical dependency field as well as a thorough understanding of diversity is key requirements for the Director position.
