We will be having a vocabulary
parade on June 9th. Here are some
ideas to get you started thinking about
what you want to do!

1.Think of an interesting
word you want to
study. It can be a word
you saw in a book or a
word from Science,
Social Studies or Math

2. Plan whether you will
make a poster, a hat or
a costume to explain
your word to others.

Want to know what it means? Look it
up. Maybe that will be a costume you
can create!

You’ll take home some directions
to help you with your creation!
• Will your hat/costume/poster be:
– Creative?
– Humorous (funny)?
– A difficult word?
– Interesting ?
• Remember, your costume should be
creative, not COSTLY! Use things from
home to create your project.

On June 9th, we will parade with
pride!
•You will march proudly along the parade route, holding
your head up and showing off your word!
•You will look closely at all of the other marchers so you
can learn some new vocabulary words. You will need to
learn at least 3 new words!
•You will be respectful of others as they march
•Enjoy the parade!
