Who We Are
The Myerstown Activity Network is made up of volunteers; many acting as
representatives of several local organizations including local businesses, churches, fire
companies, scouting groups, and other civic organizations. While representing other
organizations is not a requisite, it has enabled a broader depth of resources to achieve our
goals. Our membership is completely open, and all are welcome to join. The more
people we have, the more we can do.
What We Do
We began with the understanding that we wanted to plan activities for our community.
Our goal is to plan events that attract everyone and encourage the spirit of community.
We began this mission with the Myerstown Holiday Parade. In the following years, the
group added a Myerstown Community Picnic, which has since been combined to
coincide with the National Night Out festivities. As we are gaining energy and event
planning experience, we are always looking for new menu items.
How We Do It
Planning these events is a huge undertaking, but two main ingredients are needed:


community support: attendance and resources (manpower, supplies, and money)
we must keep having fun

become stronger and smarter by:

developing fundraising plans to supplement the money that is donated to us
using our funds in the most efficient manner
learning from our events, and making them better
