£16,000 - £17,000
Hours of Work:
35 hours per week and as necessary
to fulfil the scope of responsibilities
within the post.
This may involve
some weekend and evening work
and
hours
can
be
flexible
to
accommodate this.
Holiday Entitlement:
31
days
including
bank
holidays
rising to 33 after two years service.
Pension:
After
12
weeks
permanent
employment, FACT will contribute 3%
of your salary into its Group Pension
Policy. This is on the condition that

building in the historic Ropewalks area, two galleries, FACT Connects – a
public engagement space and state-of-the-art cinemas invite visitors to
experience a range of FACT activities from exhibitions and new forms of
broadcasting to training and conferences; and finding new and interactive
ways to encourage engagement throughout its programming spaces and in
partnership with a broad range of participants and audiences.
Marketing & Communications Department
Working across all departments, the Marketing & Communications team
ensures maximum exposure for FACT and its partners, ensuring that our
reputation is protected and that the company profile is raised at every
possible opportunity.
Purpose of Post
We are looking for someone to join the Marketing & Communications team
to lead on securing media coverage for FACT exhibitions, community &
engagement work and research projects.
Key Responsibilities Include: 
Build relationships with local, national and international media

Liase with media on a daily basis

Create schedules and forward planning

Write press releases

Contribute to Marketing & Communications strategies

Explore creative angles for press coverage

Organise exclusive press events

Proactively use social media to generate interest and coverage

Devise and deliver additional opportunities to attract coverage

You Are: Excited, and exciting! A talented writer with a skill for storytelling,

relationships. Passionate about culture and its contribution to society, you

to a story. Confident at working autonomously, you also love to be part of

Essential

Highly literate with proven copy writing skills.

An enthusiasm for contemporary culture, cinema and the arts

Experience of working in a press or PR related role

Good understanding of the contemporary media landscape

Ability to pitch news stories with demonstrable examples

Experience of developing and delivering media partnerships

Experience within the Creative Media/Arts sector

A working knowledge of FACT

Knowledge of Mac operating systems
