We will be learning about Christmas traditions and we will also be looking at the Christmas story and starring in our own Nativity. Parents Evening Thank you to all those parents who came along to our recent parents evening, we have received very positive feed back from you as to how informative and enjoyable the evening was. Also thank you for taking time to fill out the parent questionnaire this information will help us review our currant practice. A summary of the questionnaire will be available in the new year when we have gathered all the information. Christmas Cards There will be a post box located in the corridor for children wishing to post cards to their friends. Group lists will be available in each changing room. Please can we ask that you write surnames on the cards as we have a few children with the same first name . Christmas Nativity and Carol Concert We will be holding our first Christmas Nativity on Monday December 7 th at 2.45pm, Parents/carers are welcome to join us at 2.45pm, any children who are not in that day are welcome to join us dressed for the nativity at 2.40pm. Our second nativity will be on Friday December 11th at 11.30am. Parent/carers are welcome to join us at 11.30am for our concert followed by tea, coffee and mince pies. If your child is not in that day you are welcome to bring them in dressed at 11.25am to participate. . If you are having any problems finding a suitable costume please speak to a member of staff as we do have some spare costumes available. Please can all children bring their costume on the day of the nativity as we are unable to store costumes due to limited space. Parents/carers may make digital recordings of the performances for personal use but we ask that you do not post images on the internet. Parents Voice We will be holding a coffee Morning on Wednesday 20th January 9.30am to share ways that parents can use the Tapestry on line learning journals, to add their own observations and comments to their child’s learning journey. We will also be giving an update on our planned outdoor area. We welcome parents/carers to contribute their ideas and views about all aspects of our provision. So please come along and join us. Christmas Tree Festival We shall be displaying all the children’s beautiful snow creations on our Frozen theme tree in St Andrews church for the Christmas tree festival. We shall be taking the children to the church to see the trees on Thursday 3rd December at 2.15pm and on Friday 4th December at 11.15am. All parents and carers are welcome to join us to walk to the church, we shall be leaving at 2.15pm(Thursday) and 11.15am(Friday). We value your support to make this activity successful. Christmas Party Our party will take place during our session on Friday December 18 th and will include lots of fun and games with Silly soapy the female clown, face painting and glitter body art, party food and a visit from Father Christmas. Please let a member of staff know if you do not wish your child to have their face painted or glitter body art applied. All children who are not in on that day are welcome to join us at 10.00am for the party. There is no extra charge for the party. Normal session times apply for those who are in on a Friday 9.15am-11.45am. There will be no lunch club session that day we will finish at 11.45am. All parents are welcome to join us at 11.30am to see our special visitor. We would welcome in any parents that may be able to help with preparing the food for the party on the day. Please let a member of staff know if you are able to help. Children In Need Thank you to everyone who took part in our ‘Hero’ dress up theme for children in need. We raised £17.47 Policies We have recently reviewed our Complaints policy, Health and safety policy and Equipment and resources policy. A copy of all our policies can be found on our website and in the changing room.
