As the Risk Services Analyst, you have outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You have
the ability to multitask, manage small projects, and have the knowledge of federal and state rules
governing risk principles, and are able to utilize both knowledge and experience successfully in daily

stewards of public resources. The Risk Management Section is a division of the Department of County
Management. Risk Management initiates and oversees County-wide loss prevention and loss control
activities designed to protect the human and physical assets of the County. As a self-insured public entity,
Risk Management is responsible for providing consultation in the areas of employee safety and health,
verifying and securing proper excess or large deductible insurance coverage, managing contractual risk
transfer programs and other employer-initiated risk control activities.
In this role you will:
 Provide professional and technical support in loss prevention, analytical projects, and compliance
assistance.
 Strategic support for risk management initiatives related to property loss exposure, general
liability loss exposure, and workers’ compensation program areas..
 Process control analysis, auditing activities, regulatory document writing and investigative and
consultative fieldwork.



Assist in the Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection and training programs under the
direction of the Safety Specialists.
Provide support to senior level professional staff.
Independently work on projects.

To Qualify:
Required Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills:*
 Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work
in human resources administration, risk management or related field. Practical work experience in
related field will substitute year-for-year in lieu of a degree.
 Two years of professional experience in one or more of the following core risk areas: insurance,
loss control/loss prevention, employee safety, or worker’s compensation.
