The first biennial conference of the Bangladesh Academy of Business Administration will be
held at Dhaka University on January 12–15, 2015.
VISION STATEMENT
Raising the level of awareness in recent advances in the theory, research, and practice in business
administration.
MISSION STATEMENT
1. To encourage scholars to share their theory, research, and experience in business
administration.
2. To provide effective managerial responses to the environmental challenges of the 21st
century.
3. To provide a forum for exchange of information among business scholars and
management practitioners.
4. To generate new knowledge and strengthen the literature of business administration.
SUBMISSION INFORMATION FOR THE CONFERENCE
Papers, Symposia, and Workshops
You are invited to submit a 1000–1200 word (about 4 double spaced typed pages) summary of
your paper, proposal for symposia, and/or panel discussion for review to Dr. Afzal Rahim
(baba.dacca@gmail.com) and an appropriate Track Chair. Symposia proposals must include a
statement of objectives and a two-page summary of each presentation. Your summary must have
a title, followed by your name, your university, and email address, all in upper-lower cases in 12
point New Times Roman font (see attached for a sample summary of a paper). The summary
should have 3−5 Keywords at the end.
Submission and Review Process
Submissions must be RECEIVED by September 1, 2014. A double-blind review process will
evaluate all submissions. Papers should not have been presented or published elsewhere prior to
the conference and you are restricted to three submissions.
PROGRAM ORGANIZATION
The meeting will be organized around eight tracks and will feature competitive and invited paper
sessions, symposia, and workshops designed to share ideas and research findings. Innovative
sessions are encouraged, as are research and theory targeted toward practitioners.
PUBLICATION
Summaries of papers, symposia, and workshops presented at the conference will be published in
the Proceedings. Some of the outstanding full papers may be further reviewed for publication in
Current Topics in Management, Vol. 18. CTM is an annual scholarly journal published by
Transaction Publishers, USA.
