The Target Stores Executive Internship
focuses on the leadership skills needed
for retail management.
In your 10 week internship you will have
exposure to executive level leadership.
Included in the 10 weeks are a number of
training opportunities, including specific
leadership training outside your store and
special projects.
Learn store business practice, gain project
management skills and lead a team of 25-40
team members.

What we are looking for in an
Executive Team Leader
4-year college degree
Ability to operate store computer and
electronic systems
Proven conflict management skills
Ability to communicate clearly and
effectively in all situations with great
interpersonal skills
Strong cognitive skills, including problem
analysis, decision making, financial and
quantitative analysis
Store Team Leader
Lead a team of 150 - 300 team members
Develop plans to achieve Target’s
strategy
Motivate others to execute Target’s
strategy
Use reports and team feedback to
diagnose and solve problems
Get results through inspiring others
District Team Leader
Monitor data to drive results and diagnose
problems across 10-12 stores
Influence the development of over 1000
team members
Direct store teams on enhancing the
brand for guests and communities
Identify corporate opportunities to
influence strategic direction
