 Welcome! Today we will be doing some prewriting to prepare to write a narrative. We
will write a short paragraph to start shaping our narrative for our purpose.
 DGP – quiz on Friday!
 Life graph:
o Turn your notebook so that it is horizontal on your desk.
o Draw the line that will be the center of the graph through the middle of your paper, lengthwise.
This will be the zero point of your graph.
o Number the ends of your paper as follows: +1 to +10 above the line, -1 to –10 below the graph.
o From this point, you’ll create a line graph. Choose 10-15 events in your life, and decide whether
they have been positive or negative experiences. Depending on how positive or negative the
experiences have been, plot a point on the graph to match the numbers you used to label the
ends of your graph.
 Take one of those points on your graph and create just the setting for it. We will write for 10 minutes.
 Discuss Antigone – scene 4. Our goal is to finish the play today.
 HW: Continue to develop your life graph. Add more events you can remember. You
will be asked to write a summary on Fridat (a make up for Scene 4) of the last scene in
the play: the Exodus.
