Dear Dean Van Slyke:
The documentation submitted by your institution indicating the scope of accreditation and the
business programs delivered by the institution was reviewed by AACSB staff. It appears from
this review that all business programs were disclosed and resulted in the scope of accreditation as
indicated in Attachment One.
Should you disagree with the scope of accreditation reflected in this correspondence, please
submit a letter to AACSB requesting reconsideration of your scope of accreditation by the
Accreditation Coordinating Committee (ACC).
Additionally, please note that before or during the visit the Peer Review Team may question a
program’s exclusion or discover additional programs that should have been considered. Should
this occur, the issue will be referred to the ACC.
Please review the following information carefully as some programs that were requested for
exclusion may be included in the scope of the review. This letter confirms:
(1) The business degree programs to be included in and the business degree programs to be
excluded from the accreditation review (Attachment One).
(2) Receipt of the list of school groups to be used as one part of the process in determining
your peer review team (Attachment Two). The listed schools are also used to generate the
statistical data reports that you may request for distribution to your team prior to your
visit.
In addition, we have reviewed the actions that have been taken in response to concerns outlined in
the most recent accreditation review. The progress made to date appears to be on track.
The next steps in the maintenance of accreditation process can be found in the Maintenance of
Accreditation Handbook.
