Literary Analysis Essay
How does the poet’s stylistic choices (rhyme scheme, figurative language, literary devices) contribute the overall structure, meaning, and impact of the poem?
After reading poems by Bryant, Poe, Dickinson, and Frost, write an essay that describes how the author’s style and use of literary devices effect the presentation and meaning of the poem and addresses the question. Support your discussion with evidence from the text.
 This essay is worth 50 points of your unit test grade.
 Your exam is on December 7 th
 You will have to write an analytical essay on one of the poems we have discussed in class.
 You may use your notes on the test, and you will turn in your notes with your essay for a GRADE. If you were absent, it is your responsibility to get notes from a classmate or from my website.
