GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

The Debate team will be having a bake sale on Wednesday the 23rd.

Neenah Soccer Club: Registration for the Spring/Summer 2016 Rec Soccer League is underway. If you would like to take advantage of the $5 Early Bird discount, register before December 31st!!! Go to www.neenahsoccerclub.org

Kimberly Clark is in need of lifeguards , primarily for the closing shifts (4-8pm) and some weekends

(6:45am – noon). If this is of interest to you please see Mrs. V. Dohr in the girls' wellness office for application information.

A lifeguard recertification class will be held on Sunday Jan. 10 from 1-6 P.M. If you would like to sign up for this course please see Mrs V. Dohr before Dec. 23 to receive the sign up information. The class will need 4 students to run.

On Sunday, January 10th, and Monday, January 11th, from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM, the Neenah Public

Library will host a End of Semester Study area for high school students. Bring your books and brain; they'll provide quiet spaces, FREE PIZZA, SODA, and COFFEE . The Cotton Club is coming! On Saturday, January 16 , the NHS cafeteria will once again be transformed into the Cotton Club - the most of famous of New York City’s 1920’s jazz nightclubs - for an evening of dinner and dancing . Come and enjoy an elegant buffet dinner and dance to the big band sounds of Neena h High School’s Intermediate and Advanced Jazz Ensembles. Tickets are

$17 and will be sold beginning January 4 . Plan to purchase your tickets early as this event will sell out quickly!

The Neenah Parks and Recreation Department is currently accepting applications for summer 2016 part-time employment . The deadline for accepting applications is Friday, February 5, 2016.

Applications are available and can be completed online on www.neenahgov.org . If you have specific questions, call the Parks & Rec office at 886-6060.

MONDAY:

Forensics meets today.

The Debate Team will meet in the Library every Monday from 6pm-8pm. (Scotty Thurwachter)

Knitting Club meets Mondays from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm in room 322. (Mrs. Uvaas)

The Urban Farm Club will meet on Mondays in room 404. (Mrs. Dorschner or Mrs. Rogers)

The AFS Club meets on Monday after school in room 164B from 3:25-3:45. (Mrs. Counter)

Anime Club meets on Mondays in room 200 after school. (Mrs. Hoff)

The Mindfulness club meets in room 519 on Monday at 7:15 am. We go through about 15 minutes of relaxing mindfulness in the hope of creating a positive start to the week!

TUESDAY:

SEA Club will be meeting on Tuesday mornings at 7:20 am in room 164B. (Mrs. Counter)

Student Council meets on Tuesday, at 7:15 am in the Conant Little Theater. (Mr. Laluzerne)

Art Club meets every Tuesday at 3:20 pm in room 420. (Mrs. Mullard)

The C hess Club will be meeting every Tuesday after school until 4:30 p.m. in the Apollo commons.

The Eco Club will be meeting the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. (Mrs. Vanderkolk)

CONGRATULATIONS:

Congratulations to the boys Hockey team: The Rockets picked up a 5-1 conference victory over Fond du Lac Springs last week and also posted a 5-0 shutout win against Kettle Moraine to extend its winning streak to five straight games.

Neenah Schools Special Olympics is hosting a Special Olympic Basketball

Tournament When: Saturday January 9th - First game 8am - Last game 1:30pm Where: Neenah

High School Fieldhouse Teams: 24 total teams from all over Northeast Wisconsin Neenah Red team plays at 8am and 10am, and the Neenah White team plays at 11:30am and 1:30pm. Come out and cheer our athletes on!
