Allred 1 Savanna Allred Professor Kate Kimball English 1010 24 September 2012 Home Sweet Home Each place I've lived in since I was born has had an important impact on me, but the greatest place by far is the home I live in now. The reasons this home has impacted me so much is because this is where I've become a big sister, graduated high school, met my amazing boyfriend, started college, and many more amazing memories. It may not be the biggest, most expensive, or fanciest house but it is very safe, comfortable, loving, and welcoming. And those are the qualities about a home that matter the most. 2004 is the year that my parents decided to buy this cute little blue house that we found in Magna, Utah.. Tall yellow weeds towered over me as we stood in the front yard of our soon to be new home and as I peeked through each window I felt very excited knowing that we would be moving in soon. One of the reasons we were looking for a new home is because my mom was pregnant at the time and we needed a bigger place for our growing family. The day we got the keys is when my mom went into labor. "Hurry dad, hurry!" is what I repeated over and over as we raced to the hospital in our shiny gold Lincoln town car. Soon after we arrived to the hospital my beautiful little sister Sylvia had been born, weighing six pounds, four ounces. Three years after Sylvia was born, my other beautiful little sister Pamela was born in 2007. She on the other hand was bigger, weighing almost ten pounds. They both have golden blonde hair, dark blue eyes and are very tall for their ages. Allred 2 Becoming a big sister changed me in so many ways. I am now more patient, responsible, and try my hardest each day to be the best role model / big sister that I can be. They mean the world to me and even though there is a big age gap between us, we share a special bond and are very close. My dad Erin, who is very tall, has blonde hair, and blue eyes. And my mom Kaysie, who has light brown hair and pretty brown eyes are very nice, caring, and extremely generous. they have always been great examples and have made sure that my sisters and I have had everything we need or want. My parents have made every Christmas, birthday, thanksgiving, and every other holiday as special as it can be. They have also taught us how to be very well mannered and to be thankful for every good thing that comes our way. Not everything has been easy while living in this home. I have had to work very hard at times. Examples of this would be graduating high school and starting college. Both of these examples were huge steps for me. Not only because education and a good career are important but also because my sisters need a good example to follow. Near the end of twelve grade I met a very special person named Danny Garcia. He has dark brown hair, nice eyes, the cutest smile you've ever seen, and the most charming personality to match. I never would have thought that we would have become more than friends but over a period of time we got to know each other and he finally asked me to become his girlfriend. We have now been dating for one year and nine months. When I first met him I felt like I had known him forever because I feel so comfortable around him. I am able to tell him all my secrets, feelings, or thoughts and he always listens. Meeting him has changed my life and I can truly say that I love him with all my heart and I look forward to spending my future with him. Allred 3 The summer after graduation my uncle Robert, my cousin Tessla, and I went to Sydney, Australia for a whole week. We went to a petting zoo which had wombats, kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, baby dingos, and many reptiles, we also visited Bondi beach and went to the Sydney aquarium. Although we had a lot of fun there and had a great adventure I never knew I would miss home, and my family so much. Although this once plain old house in the beginning required a lot of work and love to be turned into the beautiful home it is today, I enjoyed every minute of it. I have learned many important lessons while living here and will probably learn many more. Whether I'm sad, mad, or stressed I know that at the end of the day I can always go back to my favorite place I like to call ... home sweet home.
