Ahhhhhh the memories! Those of us that grew up during the 50's & 60's can still
remember it as though it were only yesterday!
Making chains out of gum wrappers...Hula Hoops...Playing Jacks...Mood
Rings...PopBeads...Spoolies...Bell-Bottom Pants...Mini-Skirts...Madras Plaid. The
memories of rushing home from school just to watch American Bandstand...remember,
when dancing at the Armory was "really dancing" - but of course, we also had those
crazy dances...the stroll, the twist, the monkey, the mashed potatoe, the pony...and that
memorable day when I was in study hall when it came over the announcements that JFK
had been shot...Friday night basketball and football games...and then being so excited
about turning 18 and heading off to Faulisi’s!

The “current” pictures that I have here are from a few years ago when I
challenged everyone to participate in the “Then” & “Now”
Albert, "AJ", "Albie" Asiello, currently lives in Montgomery, Pa.
He is divorced and has 2 sons A.J. II, and Daniel. Al is an
inspector of piston engine parts for small aircraft at Textron
Lycoming. In his free time, Al is involved with the Loyal Order
of Moose throughout Pa. and he finds it a very rewarding
experience. He enjoys helping people and giving back to the
community.
Linda Benza is teaching gifted and talented students in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. She loves teaching and
specializes in advance math and literature. She has 3
wonderful daughters who have married wonderful men.
They have blessed her with 4 grandchildren
Richard "Dick" Birdsall is married and lives in
Dublin, Ohio.
He works for Employee Benefits and enjoys
playing golf.
He says he would love to hear from all of his
former classmates!
Gale (Burris) Murray is married and has 3
children. She also has two adorable grandsons
and counts her blessings every day. She has
retired from the work field (Admission Director
at a local Nursing Home) and works a part-time
job teaching Karate to 2-4 year olds. Her interests
are golf, reading, teaching karate, and going to
Keuka Lake as much as she can.
Alan Call Winslow has been living in San Antonio Texas.
He is a High School English Teacher. Alan is still single but
has four adopted Hispanic sons - all grown now and on
their own. He also has two beautiful grandchildren, the joy
of his life! Alan says that God Blessed him with his four
sons and grandchildren and that they are very close. His
hobbies/interests are his grandchildren, sons, Drum &
Bugle Corps, Photographer/Writer for Drum Corps World
Publication, adjudicator for the activity in Texas, and the
success of his students.
Mary Jo (Castellana) Mattison married Daryl "Deke" Mattison (class of '64) in 1968.
We have been blessed with two children, & two beautiful grandchildren. "Deke" and I
have retired and were full-time RV'rs for 2 years!! Yep, sold our home etc. and are
proud owners of a 35 ft. Motor Home...It was great! “Deke” decided to get back in the
work force & we are currently living in Naples, Florida where he is an Elementary
School Principal.

Marie (Colacecchi) Herlihy is married and living
in Pasadena, California. She has been working as
an office manager for television representatives,
Cox Enterprises, in LA.
Joyce (Cummings) Howey lives in Wellsboro, Pa. with
her husband Dale. They have one child. Joyce is a
teacher aide for handicapped children (9-12 grade).
She enjoys flowers, collecting postcards and Ham
Radio (KA2VSR).
Gilbert Cushing is currently living in Big Flats with his wife,
Joan (also a '65 classmate). They have 2 children. Gil is a
Security Manager at Corning, Inc. and he enjoys fishing as
one of his hobbies. As for special memories, Gil says that
moving into CPP East High School when it was a brand new
facility was memorable. Also attending classes with Joan,
who later became his partner in life!
Darla (Denniston) McIntosh is currently living
back in Corning after living in the south for 18
years. She is married with two children, 3
grandchildren, three step-children, and 5 stepgrandchildren. Darla is a nurse working with
traumatic brain injury patients and she enjoys golf,
reading, golf, crafts, golf and more golf!
Darla says that her whole high school experience is
ever present on her mind and it was a great time to
be a teenager.
Emily "Jane" (Denson) Jimerson is living in Painted
Post. She has been married Elwyn Jimerson (NHS
Class '60) and they have 3 grown children. Jane has
worked as an administrator at NYSEG for 25 years.
She enjoys computers, gardening, and reading.
Barbara (DiGiacomo) Roberts lives in Allentown, Pa. with her
husband had 3 children. She does computer training for
students 3 1/2 years to 8th grade and also adult learning with
Microsoft Works and Microsoft Office. She is President of the
national group, Computer Educational Services, Inc. and can
be found at www.compuquested.com.
Nancy (Ellison) Sproule is married to George
Sproule (also EHS class of '65 graduate). They
currently live in Branchport, NY where they own
and operate a Marina. They have 2 children.
Their hobbies include boating and Keuka Lake.
Phyllis (Griffiths) Lewis currently lives in Key West
Florida. She is a divorcee with 3 children and 3
grandchildren. She is currently retired from 18
years of secretarial work for State Farm Insurance.
Phyllis enjoys the sun and water in Florida, her
grandchildren and driving her red corvette. She
has many special memories of band and good
friends!
Barb lives in Lindley, NY and is happily married with
one son and one grandson. She says "yipeeeeee" that
she's currently retired from copy
editing/proofreading computer textbooks. Barb
enjoys raising ferrets, ferret rescue, Akita rescue,
community theater productions, and computers.
Susan (Jamison) Kath and her husband live in Webster, New York. She
has two children and she is a Payroll Tax Compliance & Audit Manager
for Xerox Corp.
Sue's hobbies include hanging out at Keuka Lake,
Western NY MG Car Club events, and exercise.
As for a special memory...
I just remember it being a wonderful time in my life - When I tell people
about growing up, I always say it was a charmed life.
That probably sounds real hoaky, but that's how I remember it. We had
a lot of independence, yet mine and my friends families were always
there for support.
Joan (Keefer) Cushing lives in Corning with her
husband "Gil" (also EHS '65 graduate). They have 2
children and 3 grandchildren. Joan is a retired nurse
after 23 years of nursing at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Elmira. She enjoys boating on Keuka lake, rocking
their 3 grandchildren, and managing rentals of their
condo in Myrtle Beach (their future retirement
home!)
Annabelle "Ann" (Lamphear) Burns is married with
one step-son and lives in Charleston, S.C. She is a Sr.
Sales Rep for Osram Sylvania. In her spare time, "Ann"
enjoys snow skiing, golf, running and the beach.
David "Dave" Lamphier lives in Watkins Glen, NY. He is
married and has 4 children. David is a Medical Technologist
in the hospital laboratory. His hobbies include spectator auto
racing, diecast collecting, and miniature building. As for
special memories, Dave says there are so many!
Christine "Tina" (Lewis) Masterman currently lives in Pittsford, New
York. She and her husband have 3 children. "Tina" is a second grade
teacher at Allendale Columbia School and when she isn't working full
time, she enjoys leisure reading, photography, and getting together
with friends. She has fond memories and says "what a great class what wonderful memories - dances at the armory, Friday night football
- section 5 championships, ABX sorority, parties at the lake, the Loft
(coffee house - where are you Skid Rowe?) Square dancing in gymUGH! girl's intramurals (Mrs. Risley was soooooo ahead of her time) ya
got me goin' and I just can't stop!"
David is single and lives in Corning. He is an
Engineering Technologist and enjoys
electronics.
Mike Owdienko lives in Corning with his wife Sondra
French.
He is a Senior IT Analyst at Corning, Inc. and has 7
children and 8 grandchildren. Mike enjoys hunting,
fishing, camping.
Janet (Rowles) Cordes is married to Linus Cordes
from the Schenectady area and currently live in
Livermore, California.
After 30+ years of working, Janet is enjoying the
life of retirement!
Janet has two daughters, Lori, and Amy.
"Tom" Slater is living in Ashland, Virginia
with his wife. They have 3 children. Tom is a
Physical Therapist Assistant and enjoys bike
riding, racket ball, gardening, and softball.
Darrel Smith is currently living in Ashville, Ohio
with his wife Susan. They have 3 children, Nathan,
Jeremy, Katherine, 1 deceased daughter, Margaret,
and 3 grandchildren.
Darrell is a computer systems engineer and he
enjoys gardening, travel, golfing and reading.
Linda (Smith) Scudder is a Licensed Veterinary Nurse and
Certified Hospital Administrator. She lives in Painted Post
with her husband. They have 2 boys. Linda enjoys writing,
reading, travel, & decorating in her spare time. She says she
remembers the day it was announced over the PA system
about JFK's assassination! That was the first day she really
paid attention to politics. She also remembers listening to
Johnny Mathis records with Sharon and driving around with
Diane looking for boys!
George is currently living in Branchport, NY
where he and his wife Nancy (also EHS Class of
'65 graduate) own and operate a Marina.
George and Nancy enjoy Keuka Lake and
boating.
William "Bill" Stroud currently lives in Laurinburg, North
Carolina.
He is an Optometrist with a specialty in contact lenses.
Bill married Patricia Sleeper from Horseheads and they
have one son. Bill is still involved with racing cars
and has raised and shown Keeshond dogs for the last 20
years,
Silver distributor with NIKKEN (magnets and far-infrared
products that relieve discomfort) and loves casinos!
Harold Stull has been living in Horseheads with his
wife. They have 2 boys who both graduated from EHS
(90 & 92) and 5 grandchildren.
Harold is a Systems Customer Engineer
(Sets up computers and troubleshoots the
hardware/software when users blow them up!) His
hobbies include amateur radios, hunting, and of course
computers.
"Shari Walt", now Sharon Garrison, lives in Springfield, Missouri. She is happily
married for the second time to a paramedic who is about to finish school to be a
flight RN. Sharon is an EMT, and hopefully will be going back to school to be a
paramedic. Sharon says, "Retired"? She doesn't even think about it because of her
love of helping others! She is the mother of two children and two step children.
Sharon's joys in life are her family, and her job. She teaches several classes
including CPR, Basic Trauma Life Support, Self Safety on Scenes, Small Space
Search and Rescue/Recover, Swift Water Rescue or Search/Recover. In her "spare
time", she and her husband love to camp, hike, canoe, swim and shoot the rapids.
And of course, there's those relaxing nights at home in front of a roaring fire with
a good movie! Sharon says she feels very fortunate to have grown up when we did
with the freedoms we had. She thinks of our times together a great deal and would
love to correspond with classmates!!
Joseph "Joe" Watkins lives in Rochester, NY with his wife. They have
3 children. Joe is a Mechanical Engineer and enjoys fishing,
hunting, and antique repair.
Sandra "Sandy" (Yorio) Bennett is currently living in
Punta Gorda, Florida. She moved there a few years
ago from Imperial, Missouri (St. Louis area). Sandy's
hobbies are #1, her family, & cooking.
