CHARLOLTTE ANDERSON
SNACK TABLE
Most of you know that we are providing a snack table for the teachers at Charlotte
Anderson Elementary this Friday, August 21. The entire staff will be on campus that day,
preparing for the first day of school.
Those who are planning to contribute snack items, please leave them in the kitchen at
Grace Thursday or early Friday morning. We will be taking the food over at around
10:00. Anyone who would like to go along to help set up is welcome to meet us at
Grace at that time.
As a reminder to those contributing…Be sure to send your snack items in disposable
containers, plates, etc. We will not be going back to the school to clean up or retrieve
things. (Everyone can help with the snack table. If you didn’t sign up on Sunday, that’s
OK. Just leave your things at church on Thursday or Friday morning.)
Check with
Susan Musfeldt if you have questions. 817-483-1435.

Sermon Notes
This week the sermon is part 5 in the series: Soundings in Ephesians. The title is, “Living Life
for Others” and the scripture readings are Psalm 130 and Ephesians 4:25-5:2
The psalm is focused on God’s forgiving love for us and how we are to wait in anticipation for
the redemption of our Lives in this forgiving love.
The second text is the next text in Ephesians from the Revised Common Lectionary texts
recommended for these Sundays in July and August. This section of Ephesians, (The circular
letter that toured to the churches in Asia Minor), chapter 4, verse 25- chapter 5:2, is about
living in this forgiving love as a way of life not just as platitudes. Chapter 4:32-5:2 says,
“…be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has
forgiven you.
5 1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children, 2 and live in love, as Christ loved
us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
What does this Love look like? The passage tells us, “… and live in love, as Christ loved us.”
Come and we will explore what this love looks like.
Blessing in Christ,
Pastor Craig
