The University of Portsmouth (60)朴茨茅斯大学 Facts and figures --The University of Portsmouth is a leading modern university with a strong reputation for teaching and research. Many of the academics are international leaders in their fields. -- The university is ranked among the top 400 universities in the world. English Universities -- and the top modern university in the United Kingdom in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. -- 23,000 plus students, including 3,000 from over 100 countries, are supported by over 2,500 staff. English Universities -- It is located by the sea but in the heart of one of Britain's most historic cities. The main Guildhall campus, dotted around the city center. --The University of Portsmouth is a research-active university with wide range of activities across many subjects. The University of the West of England (UWE) -- UWE is located in the English city of Bristol. Its main campus is, about five miles (8 km) north of the city center. With over 30,000 students and 3,500 staff (teaching 1700), UWE is the largest provider of Higher Education in the South West of England. UWE -- Although UWE is a modern university, its educational roots date back to the 16th Century which set up in 1595. -- UWE offers over 600 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and short course levels. 3.The University of Leicester 莱斯特大学 (Ranking 14-17) -- The University of Leicester was founded as a university college in 1921. It is a publicly-funded institution with a leading international reputation for teaching and research. -- It has 12,600 full-time students. Of the students, around 24% come from outside the European Union, from a total of more than 70 countries. University of Leicester University of Leicester -- Leicester is just 69 minutes direct from London by train. There are also direct rail links to Birmingham, Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, East Midlands Parkway. Leicester is the tenth largest city in Britain with a population of approximately 300,000. --The city is proud of its cultural diversity, with many races and religions living side by side. The University of Wales - The University of Wales is a confederal university founded in 1893 with over 100,000 students. -- Charles, Prince of Wales, is the chancellor of the university University of Wales University of Wales --The University of Wales has played a substantial role in the development of higher education in Wales. Over the years the University has adapted in order to be in a position to respond to the needs of students, both in Wales and further afield. Swansea railway station is on the main west coast line from London Paddington, less than three hours away. There are also frequent ferry crossings from Swansea to Cork in the Republic of Ireland.
