TENDER FOR PURCHASE OF FILTERS (SPAREs) FOR AIR
PURIFICATION SYSTEM
General Manager I.T Data Center Islamabad intends to purchase of Filters for the Air purification
System (PPU-500V) installed at ERP Data Centers, DR Site, International Gateway Exchange
Building, Marston Road, Karachi to control present chemical contaminant levels present in the air
inside the Data Centers as per class of Instrument System & Automation Society Standard S71.04
1985 to air quality with in the Industry approved specification during the Financial Year 2010-2011.
I.T. Data Center Region invites sealed bids for the supply, installation, testing and replacement of
Air Purification system Filters from the established Firms/companies who are not black listed by any
government organization and registered with the Sales Tax and Income Tax Department. For
immediate supply, installation, testing and commissioning of below mention items with delivery at
site situated at 7th floor IGE Building Marston Road Karachi. Vendors should preferably be
registered in PTCL through ERP/SAP, and have allotted SAP/ERP number. Interested Bidders may

PTCL reserves the right to reject any/all bids without mentioning any reason.
Rates should be inclusive of all kind of Taxes, Freights, Duties, Custom clearance and
carriage charges etc, with Delivery at site along with the checking of previous filters and
replacement of filters, etc complete in all respect in Pak Rupees.
Last date for submission of bids is 18 - 03 - 2011 till 12:00 AM and will be opened on
same day at 12:30 PM.
Bids will be sealed in envelopes and envelopes should be marked as Bids/Quotation for
Filters for Air Purification. System.
No Advance will be allowed.
Conditional bid will be rejected.
ISO CERTIFICATION
In case of foreign manufactures relevant ISO certification of quality & standards shall be
provided with each consignment by the bidder.
TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION
The bidder shall submit comprehensive Technical literature/ Standard Documentation
along with his bid related with the filters. The bidder will also provide documentary
evidence about the detail of Industry standard, which can be achieved after
replacement of Filters for Air Purification System along with the expected time
frame.
DELIVERY
Delivery of the goods and services shall be done by the bidder in accordance with the
terms specified by PTCL in its schedule of requirements and conditions of contract and
goods shall remain at the risk of the contractor till the next replacement of the filters and
PAC is issued to the contractor.
DELIVER DOCUMENTS

b) Sale Tax invoice (If applicable)

d) Manufactures/Bidder warranty certificate no. of copies-3.
e) Bidder certificate of origin no. of copies-3.
TRANSPORATION
Where the bidder is required under this bid to deliver the goods at the site as shall be
specified in the bid shall be arranged and paid for by the bidder and the cost there are
shall be included in the bid price.
Scope of Work
 The bidder shall be fully responsible for the replacement of commissioning of the
Filters to meet the PTCL requirement. The turn key installation shall include
supply, replacement and monitoring till next replacement, provisioning of all
materials, services and all local costs/taxes as well.
Taxes and Duties
The Contractor is responsible for payment of all taxes, stamp duties, license fees and
other such levies/ duties including but not limited to corporate tax, sales tax imposed
inside Pakistan for goods to be imported from abroad or manufactured locally. The
contractor is solely responsible for all such taxes and duties even if they are imposed or
become effective after issuance of LOA. With holding tax will be deducted as per
prevailing rates of the Income Tax Ordinance of Pakistan.
Over all Technical Responsibility
The overall technical responsibility for the performance of these Filters of Air
purification system in Data Centers supplied by the bidder in accordance with Technical
Specifications shall rest entirely with the Bidder. The bidder shall guarantee the
satisfactory functioning of these filters in accordance with the proper and satisfactorily
smooth running of the system.
