The content is reviewed by one of the most reputable medical institutions in the world, Harvard Medical School. New health topic suggestions are taken from the broad iTriage user base, as well as from physicians and healthcare workers using the application around the globe. Content recommendations are sent to iTriage directly and through the review process on the iTunes® and Google Play™ markets. As of December 2012, iTriage has more than 60,000 ratings and reviews with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars in both marketplaces. Weekly updates are made to the database and are rapidly available on the iTriage Web and mobile versions through product release cycles. Information for more than 1,000 of the most commonly used over-the-counter and prescribed medications is included and integrated across the disease content. It is licensed from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists® (ASHSP). These monographs cover 7,500 brand names and contain information on how to use the medication, side effects, drug and food interactions, age-related and disease-related considerations, as well as details about what to do if a dosage is missed or if too much of the medication is taken. Provider information on iTriage covers virtually every hospital, urgent care, retail clinic, physician and pharmacy in the country. Data sources include proprietary data sources and consumer and provider feedback. Select providers purchase expanded listings, which may include schedule availability or live wait times for acute care. His focus has been on creating efficiencies within the healthcare delivery system, and empowering healthcare consumers with technology. Dr. Hudson has been a serial entrepreneur with multiple exits (three to public companies), a healthcare investment banker with both sell-side and buy-side experience, a practicing emergency physician, and has served as the managing partner of large emergency medical practices. He was listed as one of the 12 Entrepreneurs Reinventing Healthcare in CNN Money in 2012. Dr. Hudson is a frequent speaker on healthcare and technology. Dr. Hudson has practiced emergency medicine in a wide range of environments, from country trauma centers to non-profit community hospitals. In addition, he has practiced around the world in many countries, including Nepal, Guatemala and Kenya. Wayne Guerra, M.D., M.B.A. Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Guerra has more than 20 years of excellence in clinical and academic emergency medicine and 15 years of experience in the following: emergency practice management, hospital-based emergency department management, third-payer contracting, hospital and physician professional service contracting, quality assurance, and risk management. He was listed as one of the 12 Entrepreneurs Reinventing Healthcare in CNN Money in 2012. Over the last 10 years, Guerra has directed a risk management board with Colorado’s largest medical professional liability insurer, overseeing half a million emergency department visits a year. Dr. Guerra’s practice experience included tertiary care, academic centers, community hospitals and the Kaiser Permanente system in Northern California. He earned his medical and undergraduate degrees from UCLA and his MBA from University of Denver. Dr. Guerra is also a past oral board examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
