iTriage medical content is written and peer-reviewed for suitability and
usefulness by an in-house team of physicians with broad clinical and academic
experience and is optimized for use in an actionable mobile environment. The
content is reviewed by one of the most reputable medical institutions in the world,
Harvard Medical School.
New health topic suggestions are taken from the broad iTriage user base, as well
as from physicians and healthcare workers using the application around the
globe. Content recommendations are sent to iTriage directly and through the
review process on the iTunes® and Google Play™ markets. As of December
2012, iTriage has more than 60,000 ratings and reviews with an average rating of
4.5 out of 5 stars in both marketplaces.
Weekly updates are made to the database and are rapidly available on the
iTriage Web and mobile versions through product release cycles.
Information for more than 1,000 of the most commonly used over-the-counter
and prescribed medications is included and integrated across the disease
content. It is licensed from the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists® (ASHSP).
These monographs cover 7,500 brand names and contain information on how to use the
medication, side effects, drug and food interactions, age-related and disease-related
considerations, as well as details about what to do if a dosage is missed or if too much of the
medication is taken.
Provider information on iTriage covers virtually every hospital, urgent care, retail clinic,
physician and pharmacy in the country. Data sources include proprietary data sources and
consumer and provider feedback. Select providers purchase expanded listings, which may
include schedule availability or live wait times for acute care. In addition, iTriage has integrated
data through the open data initiative championed by the federal government to assist in the
creation and growth of innovative companies. This has added federally qualified health centers,
mental health and substance abuse centers and enhanced the provider directory.
