1. What is pollution and
what are the different
types?
Original information and URL & date found
My Interpretation in dot points
There are many different kinds of pollution. Some are more of a
problem than others. One of those is water pollution. Another is
air pollution. Sound pollution is a type of pollution that is not much
of a problem. Even so, all types of pollution are bad for the
environment.
Unfortunately pollution is something that many people
cause each day. Simply turning on the engine of your car causes
pollution. Businesses can cause pollution too! They can make
mistakes and things accidents like oil spills result in those mistakes
Carelessness is why people litter, it can also cause other types of
pollution.

The air is made up of nitrogen and oxygen, with traces of other
gases such as carbon dioxide, plus minute particles like dust.
Although clean air should be freely available to all plant and
animal life, humans have been gradually polluting it, putting their

health at risk and the well-being of the earth itself.
Air pollutants mainly come from the discharges of gases and
particles mainly from industry, motor vehicles and domestic wood
burning. There are also natural sources such as wind-blown dust
and smoke from bush fires.
Some forms of air pollution create global problems requiring
international solutions, especially upper atmosphere ozone
depletion and acid rain. The enhanced greenhouse effect also
falls into this category.

Water pollution is a chemical
change in the water that has an
effect on any living thing. If
someone drinks it or swims or live in

possibly die

Noise pollution is an energy pollution
It effects animals the most because
they have sensitive ears

Water pollution is any chemical, physical or biological change in
the quality of water that has a harmful effect on any living thing
that drinks or uses or lives (in) it. When humans drink polluted water
it often has serious effects on their health. Water pollution can also
make water unsuited for the desired use.

What is Sound Pollution?
Noise Pollution or Sound Pollution is when the exposure of people
ol Noise pollution is a type of energy pollution in which distracting,
irritating, or damaging sounds are freely audible. As with other
forms of energy pollution (such as heat and light pollution), noise
pollution contaminants are not physical particles, but rather
waves that interfere with naturally-occurring waves of a similar
type in the same environment.e http://what-is-

2.
How are animals affected
by pollution?
Animals can be directly affected by air pollution in three
ways. They can breathe in gases or small particles just like
humans can, eat particles in food or water, or absorb gases
through the skin. Earthworms and other soft-bodied
invertebrates, or animals with thin, moist skin are the ones
mainly affected by absorbing pollution.
Ground-level ozone can be harmful to animals in many of
the same ways that it's harmful to humans. Air pollution also
affects the breathing of animals. Particulates can cause
many problems for wildlife. Particulates can be especially
dangerous when they contain metal, in which case they
can build up at high levels in the body tissues of animals.
