NEW ACRO DANCE CLASS START FEB 6TH- AGES 7-13YRS.
THURSDSAYS 5:15-6- REG. FORMS WENT OUT- DEADLINE TO REG JAN 15TH
COMPETITIVE GROUPS- ATTENDANCE IS SO IMPORTANTANT AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR. We have 9 classes till we compete.
The standards for competitions are high, and how well we prepare for competitions will show in the quality of our recital. We soon be making
practice cds so students will have their group music to practice with. If a student misses practices and does not know their routine- they may
not be able to attend the competition with their groups- Attendance is Mandatory for all. If your child is not feeling well but can still come to
watch- it would help keep the routine fresh in their memory. They can see what we worked on and practice it when they are feeling better.
REGARDNG COSTUME BALANCES - DUE BY FEB 1ST.- YOU WILL RECEIVE A SEPARATE BILL. COSTUMES WILL NOT BE
RELEASED UNTIL FULL PAYMENT IS MADE. Please try them on and do any necessary alterations- When you arrive to competeparents please get the whole group together- look to see everyone ‘s costumes are on the same way. Cut anything that is too long- ribbons
etc- so they all look the same. Experienced moms and dancers- PLEASE HELP OUT OUR NEW ONES> THANKS A BUNCH.
IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLED CLASSES - we will try to call the schools, and put a message on the answering
machine at the studio- 682-1512. If you are not sure we have lessons- we will try to get it on the answering
machine by 1:30 that afternoon and put a "classes cancelled" note on the door (as long as we can get into the
studio). For those of you that I have a current cel phone number we will try to send out group messages.
NEWLETTERS ARE A HUGE PART OF HOW WE COMUNICATE WITH YOU AS PARENTS. If you do not get the
newsletter- Check the website- www.dkdancevisions.ca Newsletters and important dates are on the website
from the beginning of the year. Extra newsletter box- is the bottom of the mail box system by the door- bottom
left hand corner.
The waiting area is unsupervised. No eating or drinks allowed in the tv room.
Please throw your garbage in the garbage cans.

attire- black exam bodysuit- Mondor Ballerina Pink tights, split sole ballet slippers- hair back, no
jewelry, no nail polish.

January 2014- Classes commence Jan 6th- Monday. Solos and duets on Fridays after X-mas after 7pm.

Winter Break- No classes Feb. 17-21ST. Solos, duets will be Feb- 20,- thurs, Feb 21- fri, Feb 22- sat
March-
28th-30th- Lanigan Competition- All groups/ solos/ duets/ attending- EXCEPT tiny tots and 5-6yrs
April
Watrous Competition April 4-6th- All groups- 11-12 YRS and up plus solos/ duets attending
Humboldt Dance Competition April 10-13TH- All groups/ solos/ duets/- EXCEPT tiny tots will attend.
Easter Break- April 14th-18th - NO CLASSES
April 28th- Monday and April 29th- Tuesday- Pictures at Richards- schedule sent closer to dates
We will not be doing a pre-dress due to rentals increasing drastically
NO REGULAR CLASSES DURING THE WEEK OF PICTURES AND REHEARSALS

FRIDAY MAY 2ND - Dress Rehearsal-Uniplex
STARTING AT 5 PM SHARP
- Full Costumes -Hair and make-up done.
Recital Dates: Same show both days- all students are in
both shows.
SATURDAY NIGHT- May 3rd @ 7pm
SUNDAY AFTERNOON- May 4th@ 2pm
The recital is the same show both days-You will get one day to watch, and the other day we will need your
help- that way everyone gets a chance to sit and enjoy the show. Thank you for all your cooperation and
help. Recital would not be successful without all the behind the scenes people.
