KOREAN LBAT 2011: Korean for Business and Technology Jun. 13th ~ Aug. 5th, 2011 Director: Seok Bae jang seok.jang@modlangs.gatech.eu KOREAN LBAT is for Students who Are interested in improving language skills Have finished KOR-2002 or equivalent Are more interested in Korean culture, industry, and history Want to make progress to a minor, a certificate Plan to stay for an exchange program at a Korean university at a later point Plan to have internship opportunities in Korea Hope to work at a Korean Company Intensive Language Study during Summer 8 weeks (Mon. through Thur.) of 3 third year classes- Lecture will be conducted in Korean KOR 3691 Business Korean (3 credit hours) KOR 3692 Current Issues and Technology in Korea (3 credit hours) KOR 3693 Exploring modern Korea (3 credit hours) Earn a total of 9 credit hours that will count towards Korean minor (15 credit hours) /Certificate (12 credit hours)/ International Plan Classes 75 minute class for 4 days a week (Mon. – Th.) 1st class: 9:30-10:45 2nd class: 11:00-12:15 Lunch break: 12:15-1:30 3rd class: 1:30-2:45 Cultural and business site visits - every Friday & some weekends The Host University: o Located in central Seoul, Sinchon, the heart of college culture & life in Korea o Strong humanities & business School o Cozy, warm environment o Buddy program & Univ.
