QuitSave: A Not-For-Profit Organisation
The proposed service: QuitSave

seeks to provide a partnership arrangement between a Not For Profit
organisation and existing statutory bodies across Forth Valley combined
with sponsorship by the private sector companies who have responsible
social attitudes. Using evidence-based approaches QuitSave will aim for
best practice in a variety of client focussed environments.
QuitSave Ethos:

We believe that stopping smoking is a liberating and empowering experience. As a
Not-For-Profit Organisation, our aim is to maximise opportunities for smokers of all
socio economic groups to conquer their addiction and sustain a smoke free life. We
wish to support the expansion of community-based services by income generated
from the corporate and commercial arms of QuitSave.
We will maximise the
potential of partnerships being guided by the Tobacco Action Group’s strategy for a
smoke free Forth Valley.

Partnership Approach

Forth Valley Substance Action Team (SAT) are a multi-agency partnership
established to implement and respond to national strategy on drugs, alcohol and
tobacco and volatile substances.

ASH Scotland is the leading voluntary organisation campaigning for effective
tobacco control legislation. For 30 years, ASH Scotland has played a key role in
raising awareness about tobacco use and its harmful effects.

The STCA is a multi-disciplinary, multi-sectoral body of over 120 organisations
concerned with the impact of tobacco on Scotland and its people

Partnership Action on Tobacco and Health (PATH) is an initiative that aims to
increase the number of people that successfully stop smoking in Scotland.

Scotland's Health at Work is a national award scheme (Bronze, Silver and Gold
Awards), which rewards employers who demonstrate commitment to improving the
health and ultimately the performance of their workforce.
