ADDENDUM NO. 1 Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) 1350 E. 17th Street Kansas City, Missouri 64108 Bus Vehicle Wraps & Installation Services Project #15-3131-33 Issue Date: September 8, 2015 This Addendum is hereby made a part of the Bidding Documents to the same extent as if it was originally included therein and is intended to modify and/or interpret the bidding documents by additions, deletions, clarifications or corrections. Except as amended by this Addendum, all terms and conditions of the IFB remain unchanged. The Contractor shall acknowledge in the proposal the receipt of this Addendum. CLARIFICATIONS, CORRECTIONS AND ADDITIONS Paragraph 2.1.1 REVISED as follows (some text corrected): 2.1.1 This document constitutes a request for competitive, sealed bids from prospective bidders for the provision of Bus Vehicle Wraps & Installation Services. The KCATA is currently in the process of rebranding their bus fleet to create a unified regional transit brand. The intent is to award multiple contracts for the provision of the wraps and installation services due to the fact that the KCATA needs to have 104 buses be rebranded with the wraps by no later than March 4, 2016. A total of 50 buses must be wrapped during the period of October 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015 and a total of 54 buses must be wrapped during the period of January 1, 2016 through March 4, 2016. The provision of the total of 104 bus wraps and the installation of those wraps shall be divided out among the awarded contractors. The allotment of buses to be wrapped per awarded contractor shall be at the sole discretion of KCATA. Paragraph 2.1.3 and its subparagraphs a. & b. ADDED as follows: 2.1.3 The KCATA intends to award up to five (5) multiple contracts for the provision of the Products and Services described herein. KCATA shall be required to utilize the Primary contractor unless: a. The primary contractor cannot provide the products/services in the time frame requested by the KCATA (in such event, the KCATA shall utilize the Secondary contractor unless the Secondary contractor cannot provide the products/services in the time frame requested by the KCATA in which case the KCATA shall utilize the Tertiary contractor and so forth down the ranking to Quaternary and Quinary contractors should the previous ranked contractor is unable to provide the products/services in the time frame requested by KCATA); or b. The KCATA using department has documented to the Procurement Department in writing receiving unsatisfactory products/services applicable to the Primary contractor’s work IFB 15-3131-33 Bus Vehicle Wraps & Installation Services Addendum No 1 Page 1 of 3 performance (in such event, the KCATA shall utilize the Secondary contractor unless the KCATA using department has also documented receiving unsatisfactory products/services applicable to the Secondary contractor’s work performance in which case the agency shall utilize the Tertiary contractor and so forth down the ranking to Quaternary and Quinary contractors should the previous ranked contractor is unable to satisfactorily provide the products/services requested by KCATA).
