2016 WRBG EVENTS
Scarborough BusFest and Running Day 22nd May 2016
Heath Common Running Day 10th July 2016
Sheffield Preserved Bus Running Day August 21st 2016
We would like to invite you to attend one or more of our annual Running Days where classic
buses from a bygone age will return to service for the benefit of the public and enthusists
alike.
For 2016 The group has expanded its operations to cover the Three Ridings (Well sort of!)
In the North Riding we will hold our first running day in the seaside town of Scarborough with
a running day along the prom and a BusFest Transport Rally near Peasholme Park.
In July we will hold the sixth annual West Riding Bus Group Running day and Transport
Rally with frequent services and mystery tours in the West Riding of Wakefield.
August will see the second Sheffield Preserved Bus Running Day based at Abbeydale Road
Tesco with regular buses to the City Centre and surrounding areas.

VEHICLES FOR STATIC DISPLAY
All historic buses and coaches and associated ancillary vehicles are welcome to attend. If
you are bringing a sales stand with your vehicle, the fee remains at just £10.00. (Transportrelated items only to be sold, please).
BUSES FOR USE IN SERVICE
There will be no charge for buses that will be available to operate free journeys in public
service. Routes will not be too long or arduous, and we will provide a conductor to guide
your driver around any unfamiliar territory.
It is our intention to send a contribution donation after the event to the owners of all vehicles
that run in service. Upon receipt of your application form, our service co-ordinator will
contact you to discuss timetables etc, and you will receive a full information pack before the
event.
To apply, please complete and return the form on the attached sheet as soon as possible –
as we will need time to prepare our services. Programmes will be going to print about 4
weeks before each event. The form has been combine into one so you can enter as many
events as you like with just the one form.
When we receive your entry, we will send you further information approx. two weeks before
each event you have entered, including your entry number to display in your windscreen and
any route instructions etc.
