Lotus Notes Email Account Configured for Android Phone Updated By: Helium Tsui Date: Remark: This is only for Lotus Notes Email Account November 20, 2013 I. 1. Email App For Lotus Notes email, go mms.yorku.ca from Browser, logon with PPY account, click on Electronic Mail and Change password. This password is only accept 7-8 characters. This password is NOT same as Lotus Notes email account password. 2. Tap on Email from the phone 3. If no email has been set up in the phone before go to Step 6 below, otherwise, tap Menu 4. Tap Settings Page 1 of 12 5. Tap + 6. Input Lotus Notes Email account and it’s password, tap on Manual setup 7. Tap on IMAP Account Page 2 of 12 8. Change settings as below, then tap Next IMAP Server: postoffice.notes.yorku.ca Security type: SSL (Accept all certificates) Port: 993 9. Change the settings as below, then tap Done. Sometimes, this screen may not go through even the settings are set properly. Do it again till done. SMTP Server: mailrelay.yorku.ca Security Type: TLS (Accept all certificates) Port: 587 Require sing-in: checked User name: Lotus Notes Email account Password: Electronic Email password in step 1 NOT Lotus Notes Email password Page 3 of 12 10. Setup your preferred options, tap Next and Done. Email will be automatically loaded. 11. Change the email preferred settings, tap Menu 12. Tap on the email account Page 4 of 12 13. Change the settings as personal preferred. Page 5 of 12 14. Depending on the Android versions, the newest Android version only found two email folders and NOT including all other Lotus Notes folders. Tap on Next, enter Email account and it’s password, tap on Next 4. Tap on IMAP, input appropriate settings, click on Next IMAP Server: postoffice.notes.yorku.ca Security: SSL/TLS (if available) Port: 993 Page 8 of 12 5. Input Outgoing server settings, and tap on Next. Sometimes, this screen may not go through even the settings are set properly. Do it again till done. The number of emails downloaded are depending on settings and which can be changed. 10. Tap on Settings, either Folder Settings, Account settings, or Global settings to change.
