Let’s Sale Lemonade! Ms. Escobar’s 5th Grade Project for CCSS.ELA-Literacy.SL.5.1 standard Do you ever wonder what makes a successful marketing business, even something as simple as a lemonade stand? This activity is designed to help you understand the different roles in a business, and how each role depends on the other roles. Task Roles Resources Procedure Evaluation Credits Your Group’s Goal • You and your group have to explore the different roles in the lemonade business. Once you have done research on your individual role, each group must collect the information to build a lemonade stand. Each group in the class is receiving a $5 budget to gather all the supplies you need for a successful business. At the end of the project, we will have a class discussion to determine what things helped your lemonade stand make a profit, and what things can be improved if asked to join another marketing business similar to this project. You Pick. • Certified Accountant: • Must be good with numbers and keeping track of the money account. • Advertising Department: • GETS THE PEOPLE TO BUY! • Marketing Manager: • Helps other group members to make sure everyone is in agreement with what the business plan to make the best profit.. We will have to teach each other about each role so you all may switch roles at least oonce when you are selling lemonade. • As a group, design a game plan to have the most successful lemonade stand.
