To maximize income to the Age UK Brand Partners that have collaborated to form the Company. To implement and deliver the Board's priorities and plans in the most effective manner in order to achieve sales targets and growth, maintain profitability and champion customer service within a regulated environment. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Working with the Board, develop an annual company business plan with supporting operational plans (including target setting) for designated income generation activities through sales of Age UK insurances and other trading products. When approved by the Board, implement, deliver and monitor in order to support the achievement of sales targets and customer experience. Implement necessary actions if plan objectives are not being met. 2. In partnership with the Regional Sales Manager and the Board, formulate detailed sales targets to meet annual income and expenditure budgets. Maintain accurate management information for monitoring purposes, delivering reports to the sales teams, Board and Age UK Enterprises in a timely manner. 3. Ensure that the business is operated efficiently and effectively in order to comply with industry regulations, legislation and other good practice to protect the organization, control expenditure and maximize commission revenues to manage sustainable future growth. Ensure that the Company satisfies its contractual responsibilities to Age UK Enterprises (AUEnts) as per the Trading Alliance Agreement. 5. Seek and identify new opportunities for future commercial expansion of the trading business; having identified and monitored key risks making recommendations to the Board as appropriate about how to address 6. Recruit, train, develop and performance manage all trading staff (and volunteers if applicable) to meet the company objectives 7. Conduct regular visits to the company’s trading offices to support and monitor staff providing feedback and taking action where necessary to improve business activity to achieve the sales, profit and customer experience objectives. In time, undertake training and assessments in order to gain Insurance Arranger and Supervisor competencies in all products and devote time to this customer facing role. 8. Ensure effective management and delivery of the Age UK Enterprises Training and Competence Scheme, and any other training and development programmes, to build the potential of Company staff and volunteers, and achieve exceptionally high service standards and an excellent customer experience, with particular attention to meeting or exceeding the company’s commitment to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF). 9. Develop and implement all marketing activities for the Company in conjunction with AUEnts’ Sales Management Team, including annual advertising plans and budgets, local media selection and evaluation (where appropriate). 10. To support the Approved Person by acting as deputy and the company’s Regulatory Trading Manager. 11. Liaise regularly and ensure effective communication is in place with colleagues from AUEnts. This may include meetings with its regional management, other meetings, forums and training events, as required. 12. Proven track record of effective business planning skills that ensure operation/s in accordance with the rules of the TAA and FCA. Understanding of the Enterprises’ telephony system, its benefits to the business and the preparatory requirements for the introduction of VOIP.
