Name: ______________________ The Great Exhibition of 1851 Crystal Palace, London Directions: You have been assigned to assume the role of one of the Great Inventors of the Industrial Revolution. You have been invited to present your new invention at the Great Exhibition of 1851. In order to prepare for our exhibition, you must research your inventor and your innovation, and find information on the following: 1) Research your invention and answer the following questions: a) When and where was it created (year, place) b) How does it work? c) Benefits of your Technology: how does it improve our world d) What individuals or groups will be helped by your invention e) What are the costs of your invention (if you can find it) 2) Create a Small Poster/Brochure/Display which you can post at your “Booth” which answers the questions above. You may use Piktochart, Powerpoint, Publisher, Prezi, or any other program that you would like to use. 3) Think of a catchy SLOGAN for your invention to write somewhere on your display that can help us remember your invention. 4) Write a short sales pitch which states why we should buy your invention (why your invention is so important). At the conclusion of our Exposition, we will hold a “Sharktank” contest to “fund” your inventions.
