 Co-Founded the annual event held at Wantagh High School that stresses the importance of Computer
Science Education for children grades 6 – 12.
 Instructed classes of upwards of 30 students.
 Through specialized workshops we aim to expose these children to an important subject matter that
many public schools do not currently offer.
 We aim to bring our program to other school districts in order to show the need for Computer
Science education at the grade school level.

I am writing with intention to be hired as a Software Engineer at Arista Networks. I am currently a student
at Stony Brook University and came across your job advertisement on Handshake, our online University
Career Center. I believe that my combination of coding a networking experience make me a strong
candidate for this job.
During my time at Nassau Community College I excelled in a numerous amount of Computer Science
courses including courses on both the C Programming Language as well as Assembly Language. After
graduating with my Associate’s Degree in Computer Science with a 3.95 GPA from Nassau Community, I
transferred to Stony Brook University where I am currently attending. I believe that it was my strong work
ethic and diligence at Nassau that has set me up for success at Stony Brook where I have been on the Dean’s
List each semester. While studying at Stony Brook I have taken project intensive courses using C++,
learned networking protocols, and studied computer architecture, all of which I believe could make me a
valuable part of your company.
In the Fall of 2013 I Co-Founded Wantagh Tech Day. I created this event along with three other Wantagh
alumni in order to spark an interest and demonstrate the need for Computer Science Education at the grade
school level. Using languages such as Java, Python, and MIT’s Scratch, we encourage learning through
creating games and other light-hearted applications. Each year we have run Tech Day the turnout has been
outstanding, as a result I have been the instructor of courses containing 30+ students at a time. Putting this
day together requires constant communication with school faculty, District Administrators, Technical
Directors, as well as the parents of the students. These interactions and frequent meetings have given me
confidence and experience functioning in a professional setting. This high social functionality and drive to
succeed give me the tools that I need to not only build and ship your products but also play an integral part
working with your sales and business development.
