Students will learn: Identities, nationalities, family/friends,
professions, introductions, clothes & body parts.
Vocabulary/Grammar: Numbers, dates, time, weather,
definite/indefinite articles, contractions with à and de, jouer à
and jouer de, prepositions, possessive adjectives, demonstrative
adjectives, interrogative adjectives, –ER, -IR, -RE verbs
(present indicative and imperative), negation, forming questions,
stress pronouns, est-ce que & qu’est-ce que, identities,
nationalities, family and friends, professions, introductions and
telephone etiquette, things you like, places you visit, daily
activities, answering YES & NO questions.

“Who am I?” Diversity of French people, European
countries, invitations, announcements
Students will learn : giving information about self, family,
friends, professions ; describing feelings, plans what you do and
recently did, making phone calls.
Grammar & vocabulary : être, expressions using être,
regular and irregular adjectives (formation and position),
c’est/il est, avoir, expressions using avoir, faire,
expressions using faire, inversion, aller, aller + infinitive,
venir, revenir, devenir, venir de, depuis, family words.
CULTURE – Diversity of France, French-speaking countries,
readings in text, Borrowed words H. GRADES: 1-2 Tests, One
Oral grade, or one Written grade or Project (powerpoint on self
or France-regions or Francophonie)
