Trip to Nelson Hall to see the Wiffenpoofs
On Friday, February 6th we are going to Nelson Hall at Elim Park in Cheshire CT to see a performance by
the Yale Wiffenpoofs. Each year, 14 senior Yale men are selected to be in the Whiffenpoofs, the world's
best known a cappella group. Made famous by their signature "Whiffenpoof Song, the 'Whiffs' carry
forward their century-old tradition each year with over two hundred performances in such venues as
Carnegie Hall, Broadway's Lincoln Center, and the Rose Bowl.
We will leave Wesley Heights at 6:00 pm and return at approximately 10:00 pm. Tickets cost $17.00. If

**Reminder that the Wesley Heights Prayer Group meets each Monday morning at 9:00 am in the
activity room chapel. All are welcome to join the group to pray out loud or silently with friends,
as we depend on the power of prayer for ourselves and for others.
Pinochle Players Wanted
We have a new volunteer coming to Wesley Village who would like to play Pinochle with residents.
If you enjoy this game and have been looking for others to play with, please contact Linda Fera
(203-225-7981) as we try to form a new Pinochle group.

Wii Bowling - Enjoy a bit of friendly competition playing this interactive bowling game on
the big screen TV with our volunteer Samantha. If you don’t want to play, why not come
down and cheer on our bowlers! – Activity Room
6:00 p.m. Saturday Night Movie – “Hidden Places” – Widowed with two children and beginning to
lose her faith, Eliza Wyatt must bring in the harvest before the bank forecloses on her
family’s home. Just when things can’t get any worse, fate brings along hope in the form of
Gabe Harper, a down on his luck veteran. Together they overcome the odds to save Wyatt
Orchard with the help of Aunt Batty (Shirley Jones) and a few generous townsfolk.

Sunday Movie – “The Good Lie” – This 2014 movie stars Academy Award winner Reese
Witherspoon and an incredible cast of Sudanese actors. In 1983, orphans of the civil war in
Sudan, known as the Lost Boys, traveled nearly a thousand miles on foot, enduring unspeakable
circumstances in search of refuge. Over a decade later, a humanitarian effort would bring
thousands of these survivors to America. This true-to-life tale is about four friend’s journey to
America and the people who help empower them to begin again. – Activity Room

3:00 p.m. Ice Cream Social – Join our volunteers Riana and Sara for social time and a dish or cone of ice
cream. Today we are serving “Peppermint Cookie” ice cream ~ peppermint flavored ice cream
with chocolate cookie pieces. Why not give this seasonal flavor a try! Vanilla will also be

suggestions regarding your dining experience at Wesley Heights.
