Community Information Rocky River is a suburban, residential community, located nine miles west of Cleveland, Ohio on the Lake Erie shoreline. The vast majority of the city’s 20,000 community members, many of whom hold prominent professional positions, are supportive, vested educational partners. School Information Rocky River High School is a comprehensive, four-year public high school with a current student enrollment of 849. In 2010-2011 the Rocky River City Schools were ranked 2nd among all public schools in the state. This distinction was based on The Ohio Department of Education’s Selection Index Rating System. The Rocky River City Schools were listed as a “Top Ten Cleveland Area School” by Cleveland Magazine in June of 2012, and was awarded the Silver Medal by U.S. News and World Report for College Readiness. Rocky River High School is accredited by the Ohio Department of Education. Faculty Rocky River High School has a professional staff of 65, 83 percent of whom hold advanced degrees.
