What is dual enrollment for high school students?
Dual enrollment is a program that allows high school students to simultaneously earn
college credit that will also count as high school credit. Dual Enrollment courses offer an
opportunity to take challenging courses and gain a jump start to a college education. Dual
enrollment courses are college courses. Almost all dual enrollment courses are free.
Why should your student participate in the Dual Enrollment Program?
 Obtain college credit that can be transferred to many colleges and universities
 Take a course that is not offered in high school
 Explore potential college majors and learn more about the college experience
 Improve your student’s high school transcript
 Enrich college applications
 Gain confidence in the ability to succeed in college
 Save money and time in college.
How to help your child participate in the Dual Enrollment Program.
1. Be sure we have your correct telephone number and Email address.
2. Sign the dual enrollment permission form.
3. Check with your junior or senior year student to see if they have information for dual
