Department of Teacher Education Admission Steps for Undergraduate Students Pass all three PRAXIS I tests • • • • • Can be taken through the traditional paper/pencil method or by a computerized method Testing dates, locations, and registration information may be found on the Educational Testing Service’s website (www.ets.org). Computerized testing offered locally through Prometric Testing Service (843.766.5599 or 800.853.6773). Passing test scores: reading = 175; writing = 173; and math = 172 Official scores MUST be sent to the College of Charleston (code R5113) and the SC Department of Education (code R8108). OR Have qualifying SAT/ACT Scores • SAT score of 1650 or higher • ACT score of 24 or higher Make sure all scores are sent to the College of Charleston. Department of Teacher Education Admission Steps for Undergraduate Students Establish and maintain required GPAs • • • Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher Education GPA of 3.0 or higher Secondary Education must maintain the required GPA in the content area of study Complete program specified minimum number of general education requirements See the Program of Study Worksheet for specific course requirements for your intended major.
