QUARTERLY CHAPTER NEWSLETTER

Hail to Thee, Our Alma Mater
by Elliot Dickerson
Welcome to the inaugural edition of
the College of Charleston DC Alumni
Chapter newsletter. As we take our
positions as the new officers of this
group, we are excited to lead the
third largest CofC Alumni group
outside of South Carolina!
We aim to create events where we
not only reminisce about the good ol’
days in the Lowcountry, but where
we are able to support our fellow
Cougars of all ages living here in the
Nation’s capital. Whether you enjoy
happy hours at DC’s swankiest bars
or your forte is on the kickball field,
we hope to provide our fellow
alumni with many opportunities to
connect with others in the
metropolitan area.
Last year ended with a bang at our
Holiday Happy Hour, held at Policy in
the U Street Corridor. The crowd
enjoyed great hors d’oeuvres and
drink specials all evening.
Make sure to stay connected with
the chapter on Twitter, Instagram
and Facebook. There you will find
pictures, details about upcoming
events, fun facts, and more.

Favorite thing about DC: Chris relishes
DC's unique brand of lifestyle and
culture. DC inherently attracts the top
minds from every field imaginable: art,
business, science and politics, to name a
few. The metro system really helps
connect different neighborhoods making
it easy to commute to work or zip
around to take advantage of all the fun
happenings. DC is truly a great place to
live, work and play.
