SWOT Analysis
Task:
 You will be assigned an emerging market or a frontier market. See the list of
countries below.
 Frontier Markets - Countries with high levels of development but are too
small to be considered emerging, or are at a lower level of development
than emerging markets. They may also include countries that have just
loosened their investment restrictions, opening up business
internationally.
 Once you have been assigned a country, you will conduct a SWOT analysis of
that particular country.

Poland, Columbia, Indonesia, Russia, Chile, Turkey, Malaysia, Czech Republic, Peru,

Take into consideration as many aspects as possible regarding your particular
country. The great the analysis the stronger the grade.
The SWOT analysis should be an effective visual tool, to determine whether or
not this particular country would be beneficial for Canada to explore in regards
to trade.
Finally, in a 1.5 – 2 page reflection. State whether this country presents a good
opportunity to Canada. Explain why or why not Canada should develop trade
relations with the country.
