February 6, 2013: What Do You Want Wednesday Report The purpose of What Do You Want Wednesdays is to allow Mason students and Mason’s Student Government to interact in a one-on-one basis to facilitate conversations regarding desired changes or questions about campus issues. This month we were able to identify an additional 191 concerns and requests from the student body. University Services Parking/Transportation (34) Different parking for tractor trailers in Lot K (could be space for stuents) Mason -> Metro shuttles too slow / not on time (x2) Better signage (x2) More lenient ticketing Parking passes too expensive (x4) Golf cart shuttle service on campus to different buildings More shuttles from parking lots to main campus locations (x4) More parking decks (x2) Trolley Earlier hours for Gunston Go Bus More parking on campus (x7) Parking in PV Campus circulator on weekends Lot J parking open to general permit Parking near RAC needs improvement / more options ROTC parking at RAC Couple-hour temporary parking (like in cities, parallel parking options) More student parking in Shenandoah Parking Deck More roads to campus to help eliminate traffic Dining (38) Chipotle Healthy food variety/options (x9) Coffee shop in HUB (x2) Halah restaurant Meal plans too expensive (x3) All dining should be open on weekends More late night dining (x3) (maybe in The Ridge?) Einsteins open on weekend Better, interactive dining staff More breakfast dining options (biscuits, pancakes, etc) (x4) LCD screen on first level of Southside advertising daily menu More fruit, veggies, and berries (x2) Shrimp in pasta line at Southside More food options in the Park More hot chocolate (coffee carts) All new food (model after Virginia Tech) More allergy-sensitive food options (for those allergic to nuts, gluten, etc) Southside too expensive More dining near housing (ex.
