Workfaith Connection

Projection Screen – Each Tuesday, our Dacoma location hosts a Celebrate Recovery
Event. A lesson is taught via PowerPoint presentation and sometimes videos are shown.
We currently use a white wall to display the projected images. A projection screen would
create a better experience for attendees. Approx. 6x8 feet; 120 inch diagonal
The Nehemiah Center

Nabi 8" 16GB Android Tablet for language lessons and learning games for our Pre-K
students. (Ex:Nabi DreamTab 8" 16GB or Nabi Jr. (Nick Jr. Edition)

Sheet-Fed Document Scanner (not flat-bed) for teachers and staff or a printer with

Headphones (sturdy, high quality) for our Kindergarten and First grade to use while using
the class set of iPads to enhance their learning experience.

One new sink for the bathroom in our ESL/classroom building at the Fletcher Center
(picture attached).


Electric fireplace or mantle for decorative use in our coffee shop.
 Paint and Wood Supplies for Renovations beginning early March. We are going to need
quite a bit of supplies and would love to find them at a reduced cost, if possible.
o Paint - variety of colors and quantities
o Brushes, rollers, drop cloths, primers, etc.
o Wood - We need a variety of types
Agape Development

Crushed concrete - All the young men in the Gateway house have cars. The crushed
concrete will be used to create parking so that they are not tearing up the grass. Need
approximately 750 cubic feet.

Cabinetry - Custom cabinetry built on interior wall of each end of our building. Will help us
maximize our space by organizing and hiding program supplies. We have a small budget
to help with supplies.
Generation One

Gas Water Heater and Installation for a senior citizens who has been bedridden for the
past two years is in need of a gas water heater to replace her 32 year old water heater
that recently stopped working. We are looking for someone who would be willing to
donate and/or install a water heater to complete this project.


Convection Oven/Microwave to cook a meal every Tuesday evening to feed guests of the
Celebrate Recovery Event. We usually order food from restaurants but believe it would
more economical to cook our own food, such as roasts, casseroles, or pizzas.

A new set of pots and pans for our kitchen, which is used by our onsite staff all year and
our 20 summer missionaries each summer.

 Furniture/Carpet deep cleaning - The couches get a lot of use from children, so they need
cleaning to remove some staining and smells.

 One of our niche menu items will be afternoon tea. While all of our other mugs, plates,
etc. will be uniform, we want the afternoon tea to have an eclectic assortment, so we are
looking for a variety of styles of the following:
o Tea Pots, Cups, Saucers - all varieties. Can be used, but not cracked or chipped
o Cake Plates - all varieties. Can be used, not cracked or chipped
o 2 or 3-tiered serving trays

One gently used embroidery machine for the girls' sewing class at the Joy Center.
The Source for Women

Baby Wipes -16 to 20 packs per month for students that have used 'earn while you learn'
points. Clients that earn points in our program were abortion determined clients that
chose life and are attending our classes now to be stronger as a mom and provider, one
way we assist is with material assistance that includes all the toiletries she will need to be
a 'provider' for her baby. Instead of spending money on wipes she saves her money
attends classes and earns her items to care for her baby.
Generation One

Rolling Luggage (16) for children we send to camps like T Bar M, Stoney Creek and Pine
Grove. Unfortunately, a lot of our kids had to use big black trash bags whereas the other campers
had nice luggage and our kids unwillingly stood out. We are asking for sixteen (16) new or gently
used pieces of luggage for our kid’s ages 8 to 14 yrs. old.

often to search for jobs, fill out apps or update resumes. Students cannot save work on
the computers so flash drives will give them a way to store their resume’ or reserach.

Outdoor/Yard
Agape Development
 1 commercial two-blade lawn mower - (new or used) Agape Development has purchased
several lots in our target neighborhood. In the future, these lots will be used as
community gardens/gathering areas, to build affordable housing for current residents,
and just as investment property. Agape Development would also be able to provide a
paying job to a neighborhood resident if we owned a commercial lawn mower.
 1 Power washer - (new or used) The power washer will serve a two-fold purpose. Our
building is white and often needs a good cleaning due to all the hands (and feet) that are
often put on it. The local teens could also use the power washer to earn extra money.

Casa El Buen Samaritano

Secure Storage space to store 80 bags of school supplies – approx. 3ft by 6ft from April
to July.

Vintage Standing Cooler to borrow for a Volunteer Fiesta on April 13 th. We would like to

Cornerstone Family Ministries

Need a church or other location in Spring Branch that could host Cornerstone on Monday
nights for music classes. We need multiple breakout rooms, so individuals could practice,
but a fellowship hall that could be used for a group session.

Portable bleachers to be used for community Rock the Block event on April 11 th.
11:00am-3:00pm. To be used to create seating around 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

 Need donations of musical instruments (drums, acoustic guitars, electric guitars, bass
guitars, keyboards, and amplifiers) to start a special music class for Junior High and High
School students on Monday evenings during the school year. We will be teaching basic
chords, music theory, to enable our kids to lead worship and pursue those talents.

Adult male mentor to meet once a week from 1-2 hrs to work 1-on-1 with teen male in
building relationship; offering guidance, playing sports, etc.

Gracewood

Math tutors for a 1st and 4th grade student (day/times to be arranged with child’s mother).
Mission of Yahweh

Mentors – For our women residents – minimum commitment. Mentor training (2 hours);
must be able to pass a background check. Ages 21& up. Must be willing to spend one
hour per week for 6 weeks mentoring homeless resident women; one-on-one. This
would be a great service project for a church Women’s Ministry, Sunday School Class,
etc. Mentors make a huge impact in the success of our residents completing our
program.
Cornerstone Family Ministries


Cornerstone is trying to create a list of individuals that we can contact for when one of our
CDL drivers is out. The volunteers need a CDL Class A or B driver’s license with
passenger endorsement. The volunteer would be driving one of our 25 passenger buses.
Need volunteers that have knowledge and would be willing to teach drums, acoustic
guitars, electric guitars, bass guitars, and keyboards on Monday nights.
The Nehemiah Center
 Bus Driver (with CDL License) to drive Middle School Students on Field trips, Fridays,
between 2:00-4:00pm.
 Music Teacher for the Nehemiah Middle School. Teaching music one hour, preferably
one day per week.
 Tutors-one day a week (or more) tutoring an elementary or Middle School student,
focusing on improving math or reading skills. (We promise that you as a volunteer can
easily handle multiplication tables, flash cards, and reading with the student.) We need
volunteers throughout the day.

● Volunteer Medical Director OBGYN to assist with reading Ultrasound Scans, can provide
criteria to professionals and can be on call during scanning hours.
● Licensed Social Workers to serve as Case managers and Care Plan administrators.
Possible room to work for a job opportunity after 90 days of service.

Graduation Igniters: Many of our graduates have burned bridges with their loved ones
and, as a result, often do not have anyone in their lives to celebrate their achievements
with them. Graduation Igniters are needed to provide audience support and celebratory
encouragement to commencing graduates. 2:30pm to 4:00pm Friday afternoons. March
27 (Travis), April 24 (Dacoma)
Mock Interviewers: One of the most important things we teach in our workshop is how to
answer difficult interview questions. By asking interview questions and providing
feedback at the end of each interview, these interviewers help instill hope, confidence,
and trust. 12:30pm to 4:00pm Thursdays. March 26th (Travis), April 23rd (Dacoma)
