Satisfactory performance on tests and the final exam is necessary. Each student will be required to
give a 2 to 5 minute oral report on a topic of statistics. It will account for 10 points of the
homework/attendance grade.
Grading
Procedures:
(A) There will be approximately six (6) tests announced in class. In almost all cases, make-up tests
will not be allowed.
(B) The combination of homework and attendance will be counted as one test grade. Out of a possible
100 points, 5 points will be deducted for each unexcused absence, and 1 point for being late to class or
for leaving early. Six sets of homework collected before each test, will be worth 10 points each.
(C) The final exam is worth three (3) tests. It will be comprehensive, and attendance is mandatory.
(D) Each student will be asked to give one, 2-5 minute oral report on a topic from statistics. The first
report is worth 10 points on the homework, attendance, reports grade. Additional reports may be given
for extra credit at 5, 3, 1, 1, 1 points each.
