• Math 105 - Mathematics for IT Professionals
• This is a comprehensive mathematics course for business and
technology majors. Instruction will cover an introduction to types of
numbers and number theory; principles of addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and division; fractions and decimals; exponents and
logarithms; fractional exponents (roots); solving basic algebraic
equations; Cartesian Plane graphs including calculating slope of
lines and curves; basic statistics including sample size of data,
mean, mode, median, variance, and standard deviation. The
prerequisite is pass the entrance exam and have a high school
diploma with minimum GPA of 2.51 or four (4) years of active duty
military service with honorable discharge or on active duty in good
and honorable status.

• This is a comprehensive Information Technology (IT)
terminology course which will also cover, in detail, data

influence, proper enunciation and pronunciation, proper
design of PowerPoint presentations, proper design and use of

completing this course and a comprehensive exam, successful

• This is a healthcare insurance course to prepare our IT
graduates for working within a healthcare insurance claims

AMYSIS will be introduced during two (2) ninety-minute class
sessions. After completing this course and a comprehensive
exam, successful students will understand basic fundamentals

revenue, profit, balance sheet, income statement, accounts

procedures, views, functions (scalar & tabular), tables,
schemas, import and export wizards, and security

• This is an advanced Information Technology (IT) course in

SSRS, including using advanced Transact-SQL (T-SQL) queries,
and stored procedures to create data sources, data
connections and connection strings, report layout design,
information formatting, proper use of headers, footers, and
detail report sections, group sections, calculated fields, drilldown and drill-through reports, graphs, and adding images
such as logos. Students must pass a comprehensive exam that

• This is an Information Technology (IT) course introducing
students to the usage and security management of the
Microsoft SharePoint environment. This course includes setup

of setup, usage, and security administration of SharePoint
sites. The prerequisites are courses IT 177, IT 221, and IT 225.

• IT 229 - Microsoft SQL-Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• This is an advanced Information Technology (IT) course in
Microsoft SQL-Server Integration Services (SSIS). This course
will cover all aspects of Extract-Transformation-Load (ETL)
data techniques including simultaneous movement of data
from different data sources and formats, integrating them into
a single database environment using Microsoft SSIS. Passing a
related Microsoft Certification Exam may be required to also
pass this course; if used, Microsoft Certification Exam score
will count toward overall GPA average for this course.
Students must also pass a comprehensive exam that consist of
an actual ETL SSIS package development project. The
prerequisites are courses IT 167, IT 177, and IT 221.

• IT 231 - Business Intelligence Data Warehouse Concepts
• This is an advanced Information Technology (IT) course in
Business Intelligence data warehouse development concepts.
Students will learn how to properly do analysis and design of
data warehouse cubes including concepts such as data
sources, data source views, dimensions, measures, fact tables,
cubes, tuples, and KPI’s. The students will also be introduced
to the MDX data warehouse query language and must be able
to write a basic MDX query to pass the course. Students must
also design and develop an actual data warehouse cube as a
development project. The prerequisites are courses IT 221, IT
223, and IT 229.

• This is an advanced Information Technology (IT) course in

cubes. The students will also be required to learn some
intermediate level MDX data warehouse query language and

Language
• This is an advanced Information Technology (IT) course in
Business Intelligence data warehouse development concepts
using Microsoft SQL-Server Analysis Services (SSAS) MDX
Language. Students will expand their knowledge in use of
SSAS by developing advanced MDX queries to do cube
calculations within a cube and to create calculated data field
elements within MDX SELECT Statements. The students will be
required to use advanced MDX queries and SSRS to develop
reports from an actual data warehouse. The prerequisites are

• This is an legal course explaining proper business ethics and
HR laws that must be followed in most U.S. business office
settings. Respect for diversity and legal consequences of age,

harassment is legally defined and relevant laws discussed.
Introduction the U.S. Constitution and basic Business Contract
Law will also be covered. Students must pass a written exam
on ethics, business law, federal civil rights laws, and diversity.

The BI Database Developer/Architect Curriculum
• Soc 269 - Sociology of Time Management
• This is a sociology mini-course explaining the significance and
impact of applying proper time-management techniques.
Students are taught time-management techniques and
principles and how to determine when such principles are
being violated. The course is a required part of the curriculum
and must be attended by all students. There is a written exam
given that each student must pass with a minimum grade of
75.0%. The prerequisites are course Math 105, IT 107, and Soc
259.

The BI Database Developer/Architect Curriculum
• Soc 279 – Sociology of Proper Interview Techniques
• This is a sociology mini-course explaining the proper techniques
that should be used during a job search and job screening interview.
Focus is on proper resume, dress, etiquette, interview questions,
and interview answers. Students are also shown techniques used to
perform a successful job search. The course is a required part of the
curriculum and must be attended by all students. The written exam
consist of the student creating a successful resume that each
student will then use in their own actual job search. The
prerequisites are course Math 105, IT 107, Soc 259, and Soc 269.

Recap & Closing

the BI Database Developer Profession in the United States alone!!!
