Section I: Your goals. Define what the project is about and what your expected goals are at the outset. Goals should be company-oriented as well as personal. That is, you should incorporate the goals set forth in the internship jointly created by you and your supervisor as well as your own personal goals. This section should be about 1-2 pages and completed prior to starting your internship. It should be included with your final paper. 2. Section II: The journal. You should document what you are doing on a daily/weekly basis to accomplish the goals outlined above. You will need to maintain a daily or weekly journal and submit it with your paper. In addition, keep track of your hours on a weekly basis. Length for this section will vary. 3. Section III: Your assessment. What did you accomplish during your internship? Compare this with what you expected as outlined in section I and determine if there is any difference. Why is there a difference? How could you improve the outcome? What did you use from your classes (specifically state 3 classes) that helped you and what would you like to have had taught to help you in this internship? Include a self-assessment of how you believe you performed in the internship. Section III should be 5-7 pages. 4. Include an evaluation from your supervisor or employer. Papers submitted by Reading Day of the regular semester in which you registered will be reviewed and graded in time for you to receive credit for that semester. *Please try to submit your paper within 6 weeks of completing your internship.
