Lennox Chase, Esq. remains as Clerk. Anne Giovanoni has been a member of the Casa Myrna Board of Directors since September 2011, most recently serving as Vice President and Chair of the Development Committee. She is Senior Director and Corporate Counsel at Alkermes, Inc., a pharmaceutical company in Waltham. A member of the Boston Bar Association, Ms. Giovanoni received her JD from Suffolk University Law School, MS from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and BA from Smith College. She is an avid marathoner, and has been a member of the Casa Myrna Boston Marathon team for the past three years. Ms. Giovanoni becomes President following a three-year term by Megan Gates, Esq., who led Casa Myrna through a transition to hire our first Chief Executive Officer and strengthen the board. Juanita Allen Kingsley joined the Casa Myrna board in September 2013. She is Director of Business Development for Century Health Systems, the parent company of the Natick Visiting Nurse Association and Distinguished Care Options. A health educator and certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) since 2001, Ms. Kingsley trains more than 1,000 people in the Greater Boston and Metro West regions annually through First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, CPR and AED classes, and teaches a variety of health and safety programs. She is a Trustee of Dedham Savings Bank and serves on the boards of the Hale Reservation (previously as Chair) and the Chickering Foundation in Boston. She holds a BS in Business Administration from Boston University, and completed her EMT training at Northeastern University. Terry Rice is Director of Finance at Living Proof, a technology-based beauty company in Cambridge. He is a skilled financial professional with over twenty years of international experience enhancing strategic operations in the technology, financial services, and manufacturing industries. Fluent in French, Mr. Rice is a member of the French-American Chamber of Commerce – New England. He earned his BA, Master’s in Accounting and Master’s in Taxation from Bentley University and is a Certified Public Accountant. “Anne, Juanita and Terry are visionary leaders who will provide Casa Myrna with exceptional guidance as we implement a five-year strategic plan to strengthen and expand our impact,” states Stephanie Brown, Chief Executive Officer. “They are passionate about engaging others with Casa Myrna, and deeply committed to ending domestic and dating violence.” Founded in 1977, Casa Myrna serves nearly 1,000 survivors each year through: three residential programs, housing search assistance, financial literacy education, counseling, legal advocacy and representation, and community-based advocacy, all offered in Spanish and English. Casa Myrna operates SafeLink, the only statewide 24/7 toll-free domestic violence hotline in Massachusetts, which responds to nearly 30,000 calls annually. We also educate teens and adults across the state through workshops, trainings, daily social media posts and annual ad campaigns on mass transit systems. ###
