Timico kicks off Festival preparations unveiling newly-engraved Timico
Cheltenham Gold Cup
18 February 2016 – Following the recent announcement that internet and managed service
provider, Timico Technology Group, is the new sponsor of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the
coveted cup arrived at Timico’s headquarters for its much anticipated first unveiling.
The cup makes its debut to mark the run up to The Cheltenham Festival, a world-renowned
event in the British jump racing calendar which takes place each year in March at Cheltenham
Racecourse.
Presenting the trophy was Timico’s Chief Executive Officer, Tim Radford, whose family have
long been associated with horse racing, as owners of frequent runners Knock House,
Somersby, Calgary Bay and Racing Demon.
He said: “It’s a real honour to have been chosen as the new sponsor of the Cheltenham Gold
Cup and seeing the Timico name emblazoned on such an iconic symbol of jump racing is truly
fantastic. With a month to go to the start of The FestivalTM, the countdown is well and truly

The high profile sponsor spot for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the feature race at The Festival,
became available for the first time in 36 years, at the end of last year.
